KALEIDOSCOPE is a music management company and record label based in Newcastle upon Tyne, formed, owned and operated by the band Shields. The aim of the company is to respond to a much-changed music industry by seeking to build a community of bands, artists, photographers, producers and fans who are interested in collaboration rather than protectionism. The company was formed by Shields in order t
o allow them to have complete creative control over their work, and they have added to the company’s board a number of individuals who share that vision. Kaleidoscope has established the infrastructure to record and release music and to create high quality video content in-house, and are developing contacts in PR and Publishing that will help the business quickly establish itself in the industry. We intend to utilise this set-up in order to help develop artists whose motivations fit within the company ethos.
