This week I’ve been speaking to visitor attractions across the UK to understand the challenges they’re facing when it comes to customer experience and one thing has really stood out to me.

No matter the size of the organisation or the number of visitors they attract, the same themes keep coming up.

”Why don’t people come back?” and “How can we be confident every visitor is receiving the same great experience?”

It’s difficult to improve an experience when you’re living and breathing it every day. You know your business inside out but your customers experience it very differently.

By looking at your organisation through your customers’ eyes, we can identify what’s encouraging people to return, what’s stopping them from coming back and where small changes could make a big difference.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be visiting these venues to experience their customer journey firsthand, diagnose the hidden barriers affecting the visitor experience and recommend practical improvements that create happier visitors and stronger long-term results.🕵🏻‍♀️

Every business wants more customers but what about the customers you already have?

Most business owners know how many people visited their website, enquired or made a booking.

What they don’t know is why someone chose not to come back.

It might not have been the product or service at all.

Maybe they struggled to find the entrance or the booking process felt harder than it needed to. Maybe they left feeling like just another customer.

Most people won’t tell you why they didn’t return, they’ll just go somewhere else next time.

It’s easy to focus on attracting new customers but the biggest opportunities often lie in improving the experience for the ones you’ve already worked so hard to attract.

Marketing gets people through the door but customer experience is what makes them want to come back.
