🗽Our US conference is a brilliant opportunity for sales and wider business colleagues to meet. It is time to catch up with old friends, engage in team-building activities and do sales training, all in person - Not to mention the wonderful CSR activities conducted across the BIW global conference. 😲 It's already been two months since our EMEA summer conference!

As we start to see an influx of pumpkin-spiced themed foods entering menus and reminding us Autumn is well on the way 🍁🎃, we're throwing it back this Thursday to the 14th of July 2023, when the BIW EMEA team descended on the Stables in Milton Keynes for a day to talk all things strategy, wellbeing, and celebrating our people 😍

Having a passion for what you do, coupled with your experiences while at work, can make or break your engagement. We are so excited when we can allow our employees to do something they didn't think possible, and it's all part of their everyday job.

Rose got to travel to Saint Lucia last week for a whistle-stop tour to finalise all the details of an upcoming client event, ensuring everything has been tried and tested and is perfect for when the client arrives. 🤿☀️🌊 Would you think to reward or recognise your associate with a diving trip on their next holiday, knowing that they were a Programme Director for a Marine Conservation NGO in Fiji in a previous life and hadn’t been diving in 12 years?

At BIW, we use to reward and recognise our associates, allowing them to “spend” these in whatever way they wish on our online experiences and merchandise catalogue, keeping rewards personal.

This is precisely what our Business Development Manager Heidi did on her latest trip to Greece; Heidi says:

“I had booked my family a summer holiday to Greece recently and jumped into the marketplace to explore any activities available on the Ionian Island to spend some points (the experiences are my favourite part). I spent the points and booked the dive, and as the day grew closer, I became more excited.

As I stepped off the back of the boat and deflated my BCD, sinking slowly into the magical underwater world, I couldn’t stop grinning.

This is something that is so important and integral to me as an individual, it’s part of my DNA and pre-child history, and having already shelled out a significant amount on holiday, I simply couldn’t have stretched my budget to make it happen.

So, have I returned feeling engaged and grateful to my company? Absolutely!”

We can't believe it's been a whole month since our people got to celebrate last year's successes and those to come!

It was a great chance to get everyone together, celebrate our successes, and plan for the coming year 😍 👏

We spent the day at our summer conference discussing our vision, values, and culture, catching up with colleagues over great food and drinks, and creating a company anthem with Song Division.

We want to thank The Stables MK in Milton Keynes for hosting us with all their amazing volunteers looking after us for the day, SongDivision for finding the inner singer and lyricist in all of us, all the support and suppliers, not to mention our own team who ensured the event ran as smoothly as possible.

Do you need to adapt your sales incentive strategy to accommodate your multi-generational workforce?

If you were to believe the stereotypes portrayed in the media, the workplace is a divided. Boomers, X, Y and Z all working against each other.
