FREE 4 HOUR CONSULTATION
I have been working with voluntary organisations for over 20 years and I am passionate about my work. I set up my business in response to the needs of some of the smaller groups I had come in to contact with. Many small charities, group or community interest companies are set up, and the support offered to them is often time limited or very costly.
When I took on the senior management role in community run organisation I struggled to find the support I needed to ensure I that the organisation was sustainable. Through hard work and doing lots of training I was able to grow the organisation. This was in the days where there was Welsh Government funding available for community development and there was a wealth of free training around. We also had funding available to pay for consultants to help us. In the current climate it is much more difficult to get the necessary support and funding.
I wish to share all that knowledge and experience I have accumulated over the years and not charge the earth for my services. Some of my clients have applied for grants to secure funding for my role for a half day or full day per week. I am also able to work on an ad hoc basis where clients call me in as and when needed.

I was on the phone this morning with a consultant from Superfast Business Wales and I was asked what I did. I started of with the usual "well I help charities and voluntary groups get funding, do their policies and procedures and help them to develop". Once I got talking I realised that yes I do all those things but what I really do is help those groups grow in confidence and in ability, and build skills that will allow them to have a voice to speak for their communities. I have seen many small organisations who achieved amazing work fold due to a reliance on public funding. Once that funding stopped they were left, the workers who had worked in the groups removed and there was no exit strategies for these groups. I believe that with support, training and sometimes some tough love the voluntary sector can move forward and have a very strong voice in this very strange world we now live in. If the pandemic has shown us anything the voluntary sector is needed!

All the years I have spent gaining knowledge and developing skills has led me to this point of providing small community groups and charities with affordable support.
