When I Say Your Dog Is Stressed, I Mean It

When I tell you your dog is stressed, Im not being dramatic  and Im not judging.

Im sharing what Im seeing.
Stress isnt bad behaviour  its communication. And in a new environment (even a calm, loving home), some dogs cope quietly until they cant.

Signs I may be noticing

Panting when it isnt hot

Restlessness / struggling to settle

Yawning, lip licking, shaking off

Clinginess or withdrawing

Refusing food

Toileting accidents

Digestive upset

Hyper vigilance (watching every sound/movement)

Why I tell you

Because stress doesnt just stay in the mind  it affects sleep, digestion, recovery, and behaviour.

So if I flag it, its because your dogs wellbeing comes first.

If you ever want me to explain what Im seeing, ask me. I will always talk you through it  kindly, clearly, and honestly.
