**🚨 Breaking News: Labour U-Turn on Day-1 Unfair Dismissal Right 🚨**

The Labour Government has today rowed back on its manifesto pledge to give all workers a day-one right to claim unfair dismissal.

Instead, it now looks likely that the qualifying period will be reduced from two years to six months, rather than removed entirely.

At the same time, the government has confirmed that other Day-1 rights including statutory sick pay and paternity leave are still set to come into force from April 2026.

These changes could have significant implications for employers, HR teams and workforce planning over the next 18 months.

Our customer is currently looking for a Production Operator to join their team on a full-time basis. They are specialised designers, manufacturers, innovators, and installers of profiled MetFloor® metal decking, industrial building systems and associated cold-formed steel construction products.

They are a growing company and continue to invest in new equipment and facilities to enable this growth, so there is a great opportunity for further development.

The role of the Production Operator will be to operate machinery to produce a high volume of product to achieve the organisations KPI’s. The Operator will also carry out quality inspections to meet customer specification before packing, banding, and palletising the finished product.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment as well as willingness to learn and progress in their career. The candidate must also maintain safe working practice in accordance with all safe systems of work and encourage a safe working environment among all employees.
