We have had a lot of interest in the latest release from Gioia. Here's your questions answered:
1. Do I have to pay import duty? If you're in the UK / US no! We have a good stock here in the UK.
2. Do you offer custom nib grinds. We do, on other GIOIA models, not on this one. We have stock of Architect and Cursive Italic on the Alleria and Partenope models available via our website
3. What Nib sizes: the Gaiola is currently available in Fine and Medium
4. How do you pronounce Gaiola?! We asked the same! It is pronounced 'guy-ola', named after the mysterious island in the bay of Naples

The pen features a 925 sterling silver neo classic capband, piston filler with a transparent ink window and gorgeous swirling acrylic
Limited to 50 pieces worldwide!
For non native Italian speakers Gaiola is pronounced 'Guyola'. It is a tribute to the swirling waters which surround the island of Gaiola
The pen features a 14k Gold Jowo Nib which has been embossed with the GIOIA logo and a motif of Mount Vesuvius above the Bay of Naples.

The name 'Bellavista' (beautiful view) is an ode to both the beautiful views over the Bay of Naples and the clear ink window on the pen itself.

What's your take on ink windows? Love / hate or can't do without? One thing we'll say, if you're gonna have one, make it bold and truly transparent so the ink is clearly visible... No second guessing here on the Bellavista - hence the name!!
