We are delighted to launch a new Business Paint Scheme for our towns and villages! 🖌️

Grants of up to £1,500 are available to eligible businesses and property owners in towns and villages across the borough. The scheme will support the repainting of shop fronts or signage, as well as the repair or cleaning of external stonework and brickwork— supporting the ongoing improvement of our villages and town centres.

A number of information sessions will take place for anyone who would like to find out more.

We are holding 4 information sessions tailored for women who are thinking of becoming On-Call Firefighters. These events are being held before On-Call recruitment applications open. The sessions provide women with the opportunity to ask questions and experience what the role involves.

More information sessions will be held throughout the duration of the campaign and are open to everyone. Further details on these will be provided soon.

This Participatory Budget Fund encourages local residents to apply for funding for a project that they think will have a positive impact on their community.

The Executive Office Planned Interventions Programme is open for applications from Friday 10 January from 4pm. Applications are welcome from constituted or voluntary groups before Friday 14 February.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend for one of the funding support workshops for more information on the Programme and to receive additional support and guidance. Registration is required via the information in the attached flyer.

📣 Funding Announcement!

Applications to the Micro Community Investment Fund in partnership with Bank of Ireland and Comic Relief are now open.

The fund will provide valuable investment for community initiatives making a difference in towns and villages across Northern Ireland. The fund will enable those organisations who are making the lives of others in their communities better, by improving their financial, physical, and mental wellbeing.

Applications for funding must target one of the themes below:

🤝 Projects promoting inclusion and belonging, particularly to enhance the physical and mental well being of the local community

💻 💳 Projects that strengthen the capacity of individuals to engage with a range of available digital services in order to help manage their money in a digital age

💡💵 Projects that enhance people’s financial knowledge through financial education programmes

🚴‍♀️🏞️ Projects promoting physical activity which uses the assets located within the area

🧘‍♂️ Projects that improve the ability of individuals to access mental health and wellbeing services either i) directly, through the provision of support or ii) indirectly, through education/awareness raising programmes

💖 Projects that encourage the active participation of individuals in their own mental wellbeing. Projects should aim to promote increased independence/resilience in relation to an individual’s mental health
