Grainne O’Hagan, Architect with JL O’Hagan & Co, recently completed projects for Newry based clients that modernised and extended the kitchen areas and living spaces. Roof lights and new windows were included in the designs to flood the newly renovated spaces with light.

We are delighted to be supporting the RSUA ‘Ask and Architect’ initiative.

For one weekend only, architects in every corner of Northern Ireland are volunteering their time and expertise to give advice to the public on their building projects, whether large or small, to help raise funds for cancer research.

Throughout the ask an architect weekend on 16th/17th April 2016 over 80 architects from more than 60 architectural practices across Northern Ireland will be offering hour long consultations in return for a minimum charitable donation of £40.

Donations will go to the Jill Todd Trust which was set up to commemorate Jill whose life was taken by cancer. Jill was 23 and the daughter of Belfast architect Barrie Todd. The trust will present every penny of funds raised through ask an architect to the Friends of the Cancer Centre to support research into a cure for cancer at Belfast City Hospital.

Grainne is a fully qualified Architect with over 25 years experience within the Company. Grainne has completed many ‘one-off’ housing designs for a client base North and South of Ireland. She has led many major projects in the educational sector, commercial sector and housing sector. Grainne is widely experienced in dealing with Listed Building projects, including refurbishment of listed buildings and conservation issues. She has gained an invaluable knowledge of grant aid applications with all relevant statutory bodies. Grainne is also an accredited Expert Witness and disability access auditor, providing Accommodation Reports for those who have suffered injury or trauma and are seeking compensation though the courts.
