A warm welcome to Denise Hamill, the latest member of The Growth Network. šŸ‘‹

Denise is the founder of Digital Den Marketing, helping businesses make better sense of digital marketing and turn it into something that actually delivers.

But as always, we’re interested in the person behind the business too.

That’s what The Growth Network is about.

Bringing good people together.
Getting to know what they do.
Building trust.
And seeing where a conversation might lead.

Denise brings a wealth of digital marketing knowledge and experience to our growing community, and we’ve no doubt there’ll be plenty of conversations, introductions and opportunities ahead.

Want to know more about Denise and what she does?

Brilliant evening at our Grounds for Connection event at Finegan & Son.

We are always genuinely grateful when people make the effort to come along to these events.

Everyone is busy.

Everyone has something else they could be doing.

So when people choose to spend a couple of hours with us, have a few conversations and support what we’re trying to build with The Growth Network, it means a lot.

A massive thank you to Dr Karen Mooney MRSB AFHEA for sharing her story so openly.

Not just the successes either.

The challenges of trying to find some sort of work life balance.

Navigating the doubters.

Backing yourself when other people maybe don’t quite see what you see.

And the self belief and determination it takes to keep going anyway.

Karen also made it properly interactive, getting the UV torches out and giving us a glimpse into the work she’s doing with The Science Room.

That’s exactly what we love about these evenings.

Nothing overly polished.

Good people. An interesting story. A bit of learning. Plenty of conversation.

And hopefully everyone goes home having met someone they didn’t know before.

Thank you Karen, thank you Finegan & Son and, most importantly, thank you to everyone who made the effort to join us tonight.

Never taken for granted. šŸ™

Great to see one of our members, Irenaeus McCaffrey, organising what promises to be a really worthwhile event in Dundalk this October.

Raising Real takes place at the Fairways Hotel on Tuesday 13th October, from 7pm–9pm, bringing together parents, teachers and educators for honest conversations, shared experiences and genuine connection.

Irenaeus will be joined by Aoife Dillon, Speech & Language Therapist and owner of SeaSaLT Therapy, and Dr Mary O’Kane, author of Anxious Children, TV presenter and radio host.

There’s also a raffle on the night, with proceeds going to SNAP and St Nicholas’ Monastery NS Autism Unit.

If you know a parent, teacher, SNA or educator who might benefit from the evening, please give this a share.

Always good to see members of The Growth Network doing things that make a difference in their communities.

Wishing Irenaeus and everyone involved a fantastic evening.

Brilliant. šŸ‘

Another great Buns & Business at Krumb Bakery this afternoon.

We deliberately keep these events small and informal. It means people actually get the chance to talk, get to know each other and have proper conversations.

A huge thank you to Marie Walker from MCSBranding and Fiona Currie from FareShare NI for joining us and sharing their stories, and to everyone who came along.

And of course, thanks to Jonny Davison and the team at Krumb for looking after us. The buns didn’t last too long… šŸ„šŸ˜‚

Business doesn’t always have to be so serious.

Sometimes a few good people, a few buns and a couple of hours together is all you need.

That’s The Growth Network.

They say people buy people.

Tonight was a reminder why.

Colleen Lennon didn’t just tell us about her business. She invited us into it.

She cooked for us, shared her journey and reminded us that the best businesses are built on values, consistency and looking after people.

Thank you again to Colleen and everyone at The Oliver Newry

We’ve said it before and we'll say it again… The Oliver is the best to eat in Newry and beyond. šŸ‘

Brilliant event this afternoon at the Ulster Aviation Society in Lisburn.

We were here last year, so it was lovely to be back.

Good people, good conversation and a few overly confident attempts on the flight simulators.

Judging by the enthusiasm, everyone thought they were Maverick. Their final destination suggested otherwise. šŸ•¹ļøšŸ™ˆšŸ”„šŸ˜†

A big thank you to the volunteers for looking after us and sharing the stories behind the aircraft.

Thanks to everyone who came along. šŸ‘

Brilliant afternoons don’t always need an agenda.

Spending an hour walking through Derrymore Woods with members was exactly what was needed today.

As we made our way around the trails, the conversations flowed from business and new ideas to family, life and everything in between.

It’s a reminder that the strongest professional relationships are built when people simply spend time together.

We genuinely believe getting outside changes the quality of conversations.

There are no distractions, no pressure to perform and no expectation beyond enjoying each other’s company.

Days like today remind us why we started this community.

Creating opportunities for good people to connect doesn’t always require a conference, keynote speaker or formal networking event.

Sometimes all it takes is a walk in the woods.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this afternoon.

We always leave these walks feeling energised and grateful for the community we’re building together. šŸ‘

Brilliant evening at Bright Beginnings in Dundalk.

Our host, Irenaeus Mc Caffrey, gave us a tour of the beautiful facilities, and outdoor spaces, before sharing the story behind the business.

It was an honest and inspiring conversation about self-belief, investing in yourself, building the right support network and having the courage to make an idea work.

We also heard about the importance of marketing, telling your story and creating strong partnerships with others.

There were plenty of takeaways and lots of food for thought.

A huge thank you to Irenaeus for the warm welcome, wonderful hospitality and a brilliant evening of connection, conversation and community.

Next up, we are heading outdoors again for our Walk and Talk at Derrymore Woods in Bessbrook outside Newry on Wednesday 22nd July at 4pm.

Dogs are welcome too, as long as our member GrĆ”inne Kathleen Evans doesn’t take them home. šŸ˜‚

Great evening at our Buns and Business event at Krumb Bakery in Belfast.

Thanks to everyone who made it out, especially with the sun shining and BBQs calling. ā˜€ļø

Connection was the theme of the night.

Big thanks to Aaron at Stewart Blair for sharing top insights.

We’re already looking forward to having you back with us for Belfast Tech Week 2026.

Great to have Kevin Johnston in the room too, having recently gone out on his own. This is exactly what The Growth Network is here for.

Good to catch up with David Montgomery from
goanserve, one of our charitable partners, and
Kieran Swail from the Southern Regional College Business & Economic Engagement team, who brought some fantastic questions.

And thanks to our members, including Jonny Davison at Yarn Digital | Storytelling Studio, Plus Tim Hart and Tim Sterritt from Davy, for making the effort.

Oh, and yes, there was ice cream.šŸ¦

We forgot to get the photo. 🤯

Classic. šŸ˜
