🏗️ 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐊 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐘 - 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

A flashback to a more recent project, and one we’re incredibly proud to have delivered, the demolition of the former Ballsbridge Hotel in Dublin.

Work commenced towards the end of 2023, with the demolition programme progressing throughout 2024.

A project of this scale, in a busy Dublin location, required careful planning, coordination and expertise from our teams both on and off site.

From the initial works through to the final stages of demolition, it was great to see the site transform and another major project successfully delivered by the Tinnelly Group team.

Projects like this combine experience, specialist machinery and skilled people to safely deliver complex demolition projects.

Due to continued growth, Tinnelly Group is seeking a Project & HSEQ Administrator to join our team based in Newry.

This is a varied role supporting our project delivery and HSEQ teams across a range of demolition, enabling works and specialist contracting projects throughout Ireland.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities including:

✅ Project administration
✅ Document control
✅ Training & competency records
✅ Subcontractor compliance
✅ HSEQ systems administration
✅ Reporting and management information

Experience within construction, engineering, utilities or related sectors would be advantageous.

After July and August gave us our newly crowned All-Ireland Champions across all codes, it felt like the perfect time to throw it back to a very different Croke Park memory for Tinnelly Group.

𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐢𝐧 𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟗, 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐨𝐠𝐚𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐤.

This was long before today’s high-reach machinery.

The team worked with an NCK545 crawler crane and wrecking ball, a 25-tonne Coles crane, Liebherr 932 excavators, hoists and man-riding baskets to safely remove asbestos, steelwork and the upper and lower tiers of the stand.

And one detail we’re still particularly proud of?

The entire project was completed without touching a blade of the famous Croke Park turf.

Looking back now, the methods and equipment we would use today would be completely different, this shows how far the industry, and Tinnelly Group, have come.
