We were delighted to welcome the Eco Council from our neighbours Clonalig Primary School for a site visit ♻️🌍

Our R&D Waste Manager Blaithin had the opportunity to talk with the pupils about recycling, sustainability, and what happens to waste once it enters our site. It was fantastic to see such enthusiasm and engagement from the children around protecting the environment.

To support their ongoing eco initiatives, we were proud to sponsor recycling bins for every classroom in the school 💚

A huge thank you to the pupils and staff at Clonalig Primary School, the future is certainly in good hands! 🙌🏻

We’re proud to introduce Blaithin O'Brien, our Research & Development Waste Manager at Skips R Us.

Blaithin brings a wealth of insight and fresh thinking to the business. She completed an undergraduate degree in Land Use and Environmental Management at Queen’s University Belfast, alongside a placement in waste management - before spending 7 years with the Irish Defence Forces, developing strong leadership and operational skills.

Blaithin is currently completing a Master’s degree in Global Strategy in Environmental Health and Sustainability at Ulster University, where her thesis research focuses on how the Waste Management sector in Northern Ireland can support the achievement of Net Zero by 2030.
