Hello!

Want increased REFERRALS, APPOINTMENTS and LEADS using LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator? I’m Martin, and I’m ready to give you the confidence and skills to succeed with LinkedIn. With 20+ years of experience and a Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, I will teach you how to do better business online. At the end of 2020, I set up The Growth Company - a specialist LinkedIn training provider and social selling consultancy. The arrival of Covid-19 forced businesses worldwide to review how they do business, and those slower to embrace digital quickly discovered that it was essential to their survival. Similarly, the pandemic challenged me to review my long-term growth plans and approach to service provision. As a result, my business model became a hybrid mix of online and face-to-face coaching, mentoring, and training. Before launching The Growth Company, I worked with many great clients throughout Ireland and the UK as a freelance LinkedIn consultant. During this time, I built my reputation as a forward-thinking social selling expert whose strategies helped businesses strengthen relationships with their customers online. After much soul searching, I decided to take the next step and set up a new specialist LinkedIn consultancy. The Growth Company was therefore born! Our mission is to help businesses embrace digital, not just to survive but to grow and thrive in a post-pandemic marketplace.

We offer bespoke LinkedIn training for business owners who want to become more relevant to the modern buyer.

We show you everything from how to optimise your LinkedIn profile to more advanced training such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

If you want to master LinkedIn to increase referrals, appointments, and sales, we have you covered.

We have built a good repetition for getting results and helping our clients focus, develop strategies, implement and execute campaigns, and realise their growth ambitions.

If you're tired of being active on LinkedIn and not getting RESULTS, get in touch today.

"I would recommend Martin to any business who wants to improve their social selling skills or simply embrace LinkedIn For Business." Brian Reid, Deli Lites Ireland

Three events, three cities and quite a start to October for The Growth Network! 👏

Not a bad start to the month, although I think I’m still recovering! 😂

We kicked things off in Dublin on Thursday 1 October with our Founders’ Table at the ISME offices.

Jason Cooper and Hugh McAlinden sparked a great discussion on sales, leadership, mindset and business experiences.

On Wednesday 7 October, we were back in Newry 🇵🇸fineganandson🇵🇸 with Joe McKevitt from and Diarmaid Sloan from Run Without You Ltd.

Two very different business journeys, with honest insights into the challenges of scaling a business and finding balance beyond work.

The following day, we headed to Belfast for Buns & Business Krumb Bakery | Ormeau Road, Belfast with buying BUSINESSES with Jenna Hill and shared their experiences of buying, building, managing and growing businesses.

What I particularly enjoy about these gatherings is how different the conversations can be.

You can bring people from different industries, backgrounds and careers together, and there’s always something to learn from one another.

And quite often, the best conversations happen over a coffee afterwards.

A huge thank you to our six guests, our venue hosts, and everyone who came along and supported us.

I know how busy people are, and I never take it for granted when someone makes the effort to turn up and support what we’re building.

We’re still a relatively small community, but we’ve come a long way since starting in Newry back in 2022.

Seeing people connect, support one another and create opportunities across Ireland is something I’m really proud of.

Three events in nine days.

Plenty of conversations, a few new friendships and hopefully some opportunities that wouldn’t otherwise have happened.

That’s what makes it worthwhile.

Have a brilliant week, everyone, and thanks again for being part of it! 😊

Great night’s craic at the Revolucion de Cuba Belfast 🌟

I was genuinely delighted just to be shortlisted for Community Champion of the Year.

I didn’t win, but I couldn’t be more pleased for Máirín Murray at TechFoundHer -working for gender equality in startup ecosystem 👏 A very worthy recognition for the work they’re doing.

To be shortlisted for these things is always a nice feeling.

The Growth Network started just 4 years ago with a simple idea: bring people together, help them get to know each other and see what comes from it.

So to have that work recognised alongside so many brilliant people means a lot.

Thanks to Colm Maguire from Tabulator and Chiara Tracey Bolzon for joining me last night too.

Both had already given their time to speak at our event Pancake Studios on Tuesday, with Chiara travelling all the way from Valencia in Spain to be with us.

I also met plenty of good people, including Daniel Murphy PwC UK and Karthik RajendraPrasad Kard AI.

Conversations I have a feeling won’t end there.

Great to catch up with Iain Cahill from Visca Care too, and to bump into Alastair Cameron from TechTides who have been one of the early adopters of Mindropic that I built.

Looking forward to catching up again when we head to Derry in a few weeks.

Between Tuesday at Pancake Studios and last night’s awards, it’s been a pretty special week.

Mostly, I’m just grateful to be part of it.

Now back to connecting people and seeing what happens next. 🤝

Fantastic afternoon Pancake Studios yesterday for The Human Side of Tech as part of Belfast Tech Week 2026. 🚀

Four panels.
Twelve speakers.
Plenty of brilliant conversations.

We covered AI, growth, digital transformation, cybersecurity, strategy, storytelling and the future of work.

But one theme kept coming back.

The value of having the right people around you.

People with knowledge you don’t have.
Experience you can learn from.
Connections that open conversations.
Relationships that become partnerships and opportunities.

That’s exactly what we’re building at The Growth Network across Belfast and the island of Ireland.

A community of founders, business owners and professionals who still believe business is built through people.

A huge thank you to Ciaran Ryan, Olivia McConaghy, Chiara Tracey Bolzon, Chuks Nwabueze, Kevin Johnston, Niall McCavigan, Alan McBurney, Colm Maguire, Aaron Blair, Jonny Davison, Martin Patterson and Martin Murtagh for sharing their knowledge and experience. 🙏

Special mention to Chiara Tracey Bolzon, who travelled from Valencia, Spain to join us, and Alice Lester from Yarn Digital | Design, Build, Grow for filming on the day. 🫶

Thank you to Kieran Swail for brilliantly hosting the afternoon, and Pancake Studios founder Christian Gerring for having us.

Thanks to our partners 🇵🇸fineganandson🇵🇸 for the coffee, the best around!

Our third year in a row taking part in . 👏

The community keeps growing.

More importantly, so do the relationships, partnerships and opportunities within it.

Connecting People. Creating Opportunities. 🚀

A nice bit of news today.

I’ve been named a finalist for Community Champion of the Year at the 2026

I was at the awards last year and it was a brilliant event, so I’m looking forward to going back on Thursday 24th September.

Between The Growth Network, The Growth Company and Mindropic, there’s plenty of exciting stuff in motion at the minute.

Different things, but people and relationships run through all three.

Really chuffed to be recognised for that. 🙏

And congratulations to all of this year’s finalists. 👏

See you on the 24th. ❤️

Busy summer for us here at The Growth Network. 👏

Ten events across July and August, each bringing together a great mix of members and visitors.

Every event was different, but the thread running through them all was the same:

Good people, genuine conversations and a real willingness to help one another.

As I have often said, our events will not be for everyone.

They are deliberately small.

Big enough to meet someone new.
Small enough to actually talk to them.

A huge thank you to our summer guest speakers:

Kerrie Havern Olivia McConaghy Olivia McC Liz Maguire Litir Marketing Alan Leckey Aaron Blair Mary White, Fiona Currie FareShare Northern Ireland Marie Walker Marie

Lovely to be hosted by our members, including James Mailley ISME Dublin, Jonny Davidson Yarn Digital | Design, Build, Grow Krumb Bakery | Ormeau Road, Belfast Belfast, Irenaeus Mc Caffrey BrightBeginnings_Dundalk, Colleen Lennon The Oliver Newry, and Garry MacDonald Helios IT Ulster Aviation Society

Thank you to mentor and friend, Kieran Swail SRC Business & Economic Engagement, for continuing to keep me grounded and accountable to my dev goals.

And, of course, it was brilliant to see so many of our members coming along and support what we do.

There is a genuinely such a positive energy around what we are building right now.

Now our attention turns to September as we return to Newry on Wednesday 2nd with Karen Mooney 🇵🇸fineganandson🇵🇸 and Thursday 3rd in Dublin with yours truly + Derek Reilly at the ISME Ireland offices.

There is plenty on the horizon, and I hope you can join us. 🚀

To everyone involved in bringing Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann to 2026, take a bow. 🙇‍♂️

The atmosphere has been incredible.

I've been to a few All-Ireland Fleadhs down the years.

But when I first heard it was coming to Belfast, I genuinely didn’t think they could pull it off.

How wrong was I?

I honestly can’t remember seeing so many smiling faces in one place.

Bringing people together is what it's all about.

Seeing tens of thousands of people from every walk of life, every age, every tradition and every nationality come together to enjoy music, culture and each other’s company.

There was music on every corner, laughter in every street and a real sense that this city is at its very best.

Credit where it’s due. This has been a phenomenal achievement and success story.

If you haven’t been yet, get yourself to Belfast this weekend.

You’ll be glad you did. 🎻🍻

Brilliant to catch up with Hugh McAlinden, a mentor of mine who has had a real influence on my own journey over the years.

I’ve learned a great deal from his leadership, experience and friendship.

So when Hugh reached out to say he was just back from Dubai, stopping by the Canal Court to make a few calls and had time for a coffee and catch-up, it was exactly what I needed.

Some of you might remember Hugh speaking at one of our events a few years ago.

From travelling the world, to experiencing the highest highs and lowest lows of business, rebuilding after setbacks and navigating the realities of entrepreneurship, Hugh has lived it.

He speaks from experience, is always willing to share what he has learned and is one of the best people you could spend time with.

The Growth Network has come a long way since Hugh last spoke with us in 2024, so I’m delighted to say he’ll be joining us again in Dublin in October.

I’ll share more details closer to the time.

Thanks again for the coffee and conversation, Hugh. I left inspired. 👏

And for a proud Armagh supporter, you’re not a bad fella either… although I did have to let a few comments slide. 😆

Talking fish…

The warm weather isn’t great for fishing. Or for the fish.

But I still enjoy nothing more on a day off than wandering along a river, spotting trout tucked away beneath overhanging trees.

Watching where they’re sitting. How deep they are. Why they’ve chosen that particular spot.

You realise pretty quickly that there’s always a reason.

It’s quiet. It’s cooler. It’s safer. They conserve their energy and wait for the right opportunity.

There’s something about standing by a river that slows everything down.

No phone. No meetings. Just nature doing what it has always done.

Sometimes that’s exactly what we need.

Great evening once more at our Social Networking event. 👏

Great talks from Alan Leckey and Liz Maguire, and a really good turnout for what was only our second event in the city.

Huge thanks to our partners at , especially James Mailley. I talk a lot about collaboration and actually following through… this is what it looks like in action.

The Growth Network is all about helping professionals and business owners connect right across the island of , north and south.

The energy and conversations last night proved once again how powerful that is.

There were loads of positives from the evening, and I’m genuinely excited about what’s coming next.

Missed it but still want to get involved?

Our next event is Buns & Business on Ormeau Road in , featuring guest speaker Stewart Blair.

Another excellent opportunity to build real relationships and do business better across borders.

A morning well spent in . ☕🤝

Today reminded us why The Growth Network exists.

A huge thank you to , co-founder of & franchise owner of , for sharing her inspiring story, and to from
for a brilliant talk on turning marketing data into better business decisions.

It was also great to catch up with familiar faces and welcome new ones. Every conversation adds something to our community.

What makes these mornings special isn’t just the speakers. It’s the time and space to genuinely get to know one another.

That’s where the introductions happen.
That’s where trust is built.
And that’s where opportunities begin.

Whether you prefer breakfast meet-ups, afternoon sessions or evening socials, there’s a place for you.

With regular events across Newry, Belfast, Dundalk and Dublin, we’re building the rooms where business gets done.

Tomorrow evening we’re back in Dublin at the offices with Liz Maguire and , and we’d love to see you there.
