According to gov.uk, “HMRC’s ambition is to become one of the most digitally advanced tax administrations in the world.” That’s no small order. And, in true HMRC fashion, there is a deadline.

It’s strange how things suddenly work? How the stars magically align?

We heard through a friend that a local businessman was disillusioned with their Accountant and the value received, especially when considering the small-ish size of their business and the amount of money they were paying.

We went and had a look ........ The meeting was light and friendly, we discussed what they needed to happen, how they worked, timescales, ideas for improving efficiency, streamlining – all without charging a fee, because at the end of the day we are here to help.

They asked us to quote for taking over their accounts and tax affairs and were amazed when we said our fees would amount to less than half that charged by the current Accountant – we could have asked for more but we really do like to sleep at night with a clear conscience.

We now have an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the running of a local business, the businessman can now move forward knowing that we’ve got his back.

We’re a small team meaning we get to know your business thoroughly, and just like our Minerva owl symbol – we do give two hoots!
