Torquay Harbourside Markets – Public Opinion

Together with local leading business owners we have put forward a proposal to Torbay Council to establish a year round market experience utilising the events space at the Banjo in Princess Gardens on Torquay Harbour.

We recently ran an online survey across our website and social media channels to gauge initial thoughts and feedback from both the local business and residential community.

The response was overwhelmingly positive and we had some wonderful feedback and insights with balanced arguments which we will share with Torbay Council.

Over 99% of responses were from residents of Torbay and almost a quarter owned a business in the Bay.

Overwhelmingly, 87% would like to see a Harbourside market – either for Christmas or permanent, 4% are unsure and 9% are opposed to the idea.
