Fire extinguisher training this morning with the folk at CLdN in Warrenpoint harbour.
The usual discussions about lithium ion batteries raised its head again and it’s always good to chat to folk and ask specifics about whether they’ve used an extinguisher before and what their job roles are etc
All information that allows the training to be tailored to suit the audience, which is something you just can’t get with on-line training.
As always, the noise and short operating time of the 2&5kg extinguishers surprised attendees and a quick blast with the powder just reinforced how messy these extinguishers are, and why they aren’t suitable for indoor use.
A great bunch to work with and a few laughs as well.

Getting people to leave a review can be a bit hit and miss sometimes, but it’s lovely to get another 5 star review only a few hours after helping a start-up gym get their extinguishers in order.

Out this morning for a quick installation into a newly opened barbers in Newtownabbey.

Great to meet the lovely staff and volunteers at Shankill Parish today in Lurgan to deliver some fire extinguisher training.
Training delivered on site is always tailored for the staff , the location and even as far as bringing along the extinguisher types they have on site to allow them to build familiarity and confidence should they need to use one in anger 🧯
Nice to get a five star review as well, so thanks for that.

It was good to get out and meet two new customers Friday morning of last week.
One local car dealer who had been told their foam MUST be changed immediately but oddly the supplier didn’t mention the actual timelines involved according to the relevant EU legislation.
Annual servicing carried out across several units and EU guidelines provided for peace of mind.
On them to a cafe with a looming inspection and extinguishers last dated as serviced in 2009 by the previous tenant.

All set up and ready for another Fire Safety in the Workplace/Extinguisher training session.
Doing this face to face allows the users to feel the weight and size of the extinguishers and get to discharge them which you won’t get with an “on-line” course. Training tailored to the staff, workplace and environment can be delivered on site and allows for back and forth question and answer sessions as well.
