All chainsaw chains balance sharpened. To do this the smallest length of cutter is located on the chain then match all other cutting links to it's size. This prevents jumping of the chain on a micro level and will keep your chain sharper for longer.
A good chain should cut with small wood chips visible on the ground. If your chain is smoking and or producing a fine sawdust on the ground, the chain needs sharpened.
Most people who use chainsaws will have a spare chain readily available. Once your work is finished you are sure to have at least a couple of dull chains. This can be the result of contaminated wood and is sometimes unavoidable. Dirt, soil, small stones, even metal can be the culprit of a dull chain which will not cut clean through the wood.
I can fix the chain back to its potential best. I can also change the cutting edge of the chain to suit any cut required, ie: felling or milling cut.
Chains are quite cheap to purchase but much more time can be gained by correctly sharpening the chain to suit its purpose.
I can also service chainsaw motors and bars.. I can sharpen anything with a sharp edge ie: lawnmower blades, kitchen knives, multi tools, hunting and fishing knives.
I can provide a local service either drop off or mail in for a speedy return.
Any questions please PM me for specific questions.
