What’s the difference between chemical, hybrid and mineral sunscreen? ☀️
It’s something I never really thought about before… but now I pay so much more attention to what I’m putting on my skin (and my children’s too).
Mineral SPF sits on the skin and reflects UV rays.
It’s the gentlest option, which is why it’s often recommended for sensitive skin.
This is what I use on my children, and now on myself too.
Chemical SPF works differently.
It absorbs UV rays and converts them into heat, which is then released from the skin.
Hybrid SPF is a mix of both—giving you the benefits of each in one formula.
For me, making the switch to mineral just feels right.
Less irritation, more peace of mind, and protection I can trust for all of us. ☀️
If your skin is reactive, sensitive, or you’re just starting to look more closely at ingredients… this might be something worth exploring.
