When you take a client through 12 weeks of strategic thinking about their business and they feel like this at the end.....
I have had the pleasure of working alongside Mark Scanlon the MD of Scanlon Freight, down near Heathrow, helping him plan out and create a remarkable growth strategy to take his business from £800k to £2m per year over the next 2 years.
I am sure Mark would agree it has been a full-on 12 weeks, with 4 hours every Friday morning, either virtually or face to face, then activities each week for him to complete while I go away and pull together the strategy - but it has been well worth it - with a structured plan in place for everything from targeting of his dream customers, to lead generation, marketing, sales process, customer acquisition, ops delivery, service and support through to recruitment, building out his tech stack and systems with Leadnamic and setting up of dashboards and reporting - so we have live metrics to track every part of the strategic ex*****on and growth of the business.
The good news is that I clearly did not scare him off - as he has just signed me up for another 12 months growth consultancy from 6th January - to help and support him in executing his growth strategy across 2025 - looking forward to seeing where Scanlon Freight Limited is this time next year!!!
Remember that your growth strategy dictates your tactical ex*****on - not the other way around!! Don't be a tactical business owner jumping from one tactic to another looking for a silver bullet - put in place a strategy and then execute on that daily!!
