Figen Murray OBE
Figen needs little introduction to PSSA members and the security industry in general. On May 7, she will walk from the spot where her son was killed to Downing Street, arriving on May 22 – the seventh anniversary of his death – in her latest effort to get Martyn’s Law passed into legislation. Join us on 12th June to show your continued support for Figen and receive her latest progress report.
Alistair Crooks
Alistair is the Solution Leader for Passive Safety and HVM at HORIBA MIRA and a long-time supporter of the PSSA. He will help unpack the HVM crash test changes involved in using the new standard ISO 22343-1:2023: Part 1 (Vehicle security barriers—performance requirement, vehicle impact test method, and performance rating).
Paul Everington BSc(Hons), CEng, FIET
Paul, the MD of Wiltshire Ballistics Services Ltd, will explore integrating ballistic ratings with HVM applications.
Dr. John Farley
Jon is a protective security consultant with Arup. He will share his expertise on advanced simulation techniques for modeling the impacts of threat vehicles and providing estimations of the performance of protective design solutions.
Richard Flint MSyl
Richard is the Technical and Commercial Lead for Physical Security at Global and an LPS (Loss Prevention Standard) 1175 expert. The standard focuses on the physical security of intruder-resistant building components. This presentation will examine how LPS1175 relates to HVM products.
