Here we are then, Christmas has well and truly arrived 🎄

Thank you for trusting us with your confidential waste and shredding this year. It genuinely means a lot to a long-standing family business, and we’re incredibly proud of the team who turn up every day and do the job properly.

This time of year can be a funny one. For many it’s full of lights, laughter and good company. For others, it can feel a bit quieter, a bit heavier, or just plain hard work getting through the days.

A small act of kindness can go a long way. A quick message, a phone call, a cuppa and a chat, or simply letting someone know you’re thinking of them. You never know the difference it might make.

Here at Simply Shredding - Archers, we’re big believers in looking out for one another. Whether it’s in the workplace or beyond it, kindness, patience and a bit of understanding matter more than ever at this time of year.

Life can get heavy sometimes, and it’s easy to keep quiet and carry on, but reaching out for a chat, or simply checking in on a friend, can make a world of difference.

A phone call, a cuppa, a quick message, it doesn’t have to be much, but it could mean everything to someone who’s struggling.

Today, on World Mental Health Day, we’re taking a moment to remember Anthony Sparrow, whose life we celebrate and whose memory continues to make a real difference to others through a fundraising page set up in his honour. It supports those in Herefordshire who are finding things tough and need a bit of help.

Let’s face it, life can get busy, and so can the paperwork pile! Whether it’s work deadlines or that stack of old documents waiting to be shredded, it all adds up and can leave you feeling a bit swamped. 😞

A bit of stress is normal, but when it starts to build up, it’s time to take a breather. Go for a walk, have a chat, get outside, the Yorkshire Dales work wonders for that!

🧻 Random Fact Friday…. Let’s talk loo roll

Here’s something we all use, even the King, and that’s toilet paper. 🧻

The humble toilet roll that we all take for granted has been around since the 1880s, but things really improved in 1930 when someone finally came up with the splinter-free version (ouch 😅).

But here’s the surprising bit, around 75% of the world’s population doesn’t use toilet paper at all. The rest of us? We’re making up for it! With the average person getting through 57 sheets a day and spending around £1 a week doing it. No surprise, is top of the leaderboard, followed by and .

So where do we come in?
