Daisy the Landrover

Daisy the Landrover Daisy (also known as breakdown 3 at Silverstone) can often be seen at the circuit. Daisy is a Series III Stage 1 V8 109" she was born on 03 November 1978.

She was first seen up at Silverstone in 1993, and has been up at the circuit ever since!

Well what a Sunday at the one day CSCC meeting today at Silverstone. Superb weather, 5 qualifying sessions and 6 races. An absolutely superb turn out for all the grids with a very wide range of cars, including 65 cars entered and on circuit for the Swinging Sixties race.

We and the other 3 breakdowns were kept busy all day (hence no pictures today). It was a final tally of six jobs for the day for us and a big thankyou to the Marshals who whilst thin on the ground helped immensely to move the breakdowns as quickly as we could.

There was even the sight of one of the Daisy team regressing to their marshalling days and pushing.....yes pushing a car from the middle of the circuit into the gap before resorting to mechanical methods to get it back to the team 😀 .

A enjoyable if somewhat active day 👍

Excellent weather and Racing at the MSVR GB3 GB4 and GT cup meeting on the Grand Prix circuit at Silverstone this weekend.

Daisy made her contribution with 3 jobs on Sunday during a steady day. We had a couple of cars on the hook that got away on Saturday 😉, but we won't count them and great to see them straight back out again.

So good racing, good company, a small job list and good weather. As near as it comes to a perfect weekend 👍.

Nice steady day today with four jobs. Excellent racing and a great mix of cars.

Again, thanks to our fellow marshals, recovery crews and the teams/ drivers for their help and friendly atmosphere. This being the first meeting for the rebounded classic was a very positive start, and a good foundation for the future based on the cars, the races and the mix of events.

Looking forward to next years event. Short recharge and MSVR next weekend.

Day 1 at the classic was topped and tailed with 2 snatches from the club gravel trap. A formula junior 1st thing and a Lamborghi at the end of the day! Thanks to both drivers for your help in the process of getting you out, it makes our job so much easier 😀.

An extra thank you to the formula Junior driver.........he will know why and its appreciated 👏 🤣🤣🤷‍♂️.

On to day two where its all racing and the weather is looking good again 👌

Puddles completed the entire 24hr making sure the radio was manned at all times!
