Hope you can join us and give something in your wardrobe a new lease of life!
Exciting News! A New Workshop and New Venue
I’m really excited to be starting the month by announcing a special collaboration with the wonderful Lesley Clarke Style Advisor a style advisor and eco-evangelist.
Together, we’re going to run a Sewing, Upcycling & Repair Workshop in Yardley Hastings, Northamptonshire. This is an additional venue for me, alongside my usual workshops and Sit & Sews at Westbury Arts Centre, so don’t worry, I’m not going anywhere!
For me, it will be a fusion of my Sit & Sews (where you bring along whatever you’d like to sew) and my Upcycling Workshops (where I show you how to give pre-loved fabrics and clothing a new lease of life). For Lesley, it will be an extension of what she already does brilliantly, styling and encouraging us to make the most of what we already have, all whilst helping us look fabulous!
And the really exciting bit? You’ll have both a stylist and a sewist on hand for the day! Lesley can help you see the potential in clothes you already own and explore ideas for transforming them, while I’ll help with the sewing skills to bring those ideas to life.
Bring along a project you’ve been meaning to finish, something from your wardrobe you’d like to upcycle, a repair or make a simple alteration, or an idea you’d like to explore. Beginners with some basic sewing knowledge are very welcome.
