What does a Virtual Assistant actually do? 🤔

It's a question I get asked a lot, and the answer is usually... quite a bit!

Over the past week alone, I've:

✔️ Created and scheduled social media content
✔️ Attended marketing meetings for upcoming product launches
✔️ Digitalised company documents
✔️ Turned rough drafts into professional-looking documents
✔️ Transcribed meetings
✔️ Built email marketing campaigns
✔️ Completed data entry
✔️ Liaised with customers and suppliers
✔️ Uploaded blogs to websites
✔️ Actioned Health & Safety audit findings
✔️ Raised invoices

And that's exactly what I love about being a Virtual Assistant.

No two days are the same, and I get to support businesses in lots of different ways. Whether it's a one-off project that's been sitting on your to-do list for months or ongoing support to help keep things running smoothly, my goal is always the same: to give you back time and headspace to focus on what matters most.

Sometimes, when I’m sitting at my laptop late at night or working while everyone else is winding down for the evening, I catch myself wondering why I don’t just get a normal 9–5 job 💜

And then I look at these two.

They are my reason for doing all this.

They’re the reason I work the hours I do. The reason I keep showing up, keep building, and keep pushing through the busy (and not so busy) seasons. Because although working for yourself can be hard, the gift it gives me is time — time for swimming lessons, cuddles, dance classes, slow (and manic) mornings, and being present for the moments that matter most because we only get one chance to live those.

That flexibility means everything to me and I hope it does to them too.

And it’s exactly why I understand the pressure so many other business owners and working parents are under too. Trying to grow a business while also being the parent, partner, organiser, cleaner, cook and everything in between can feel overwhelming sometimes.

That’s why supporting other businesses means so much to me 💜

If I can take even a little bit off someone’s plate and give them back more time with their family, more breathing space, or just one evening where they can properly switch off without guilt… then that, to me, means I've done well this week!

A little win behind the scenes 🙌

We recently supported a client by taking their Google Business Profile verification completely off their hands — because when you’re busy running a business, it’s often these kinds of tasks that get pushed to the bottom of the list.

We updated the profile settings, managed the process end-to-end, and liaised directly with Google to resolve the issues and get everything verified smoothly — without the need for video verification.

Simple for us, one less thing for them to worry about A little win behind the scenes 🙌

Sticky fingers on your keyboard and mouse? Me too.

In this photo my daughter might look like she’s helping (she might even think she is)… but in reality, the mouse is switched off so I don’t lose all my work.

I had a fab 1-2-1 today with Lauren Martin from LM Copywriting – and this is exactly why I love what we’ve built at Mundy Mornings.

We spent time brainstorming social media content for one of our mutual clients (there’s something powerful about collaborating and getting different perspectives especially as small businesses), as well as mapping out our own content plans for the next few months.

We also chatted through what we’re both building in our businesses this year – goals, direction, ideas and the exciting bits that are coming next. Having those honest, strategic conversations with people who just 'get it' make such a difference.

These are the kinds of mornings that remind me why collaboration matters so much to our communities.
