If Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive us despite our flaws, sins, and failures, this reveals the highest form of His love and mercy. Jesus' sacrifice was not just an act of salvation but also a model of unconditional forgiveness.
So, when we hold on to bitterness, resentment, or grudges, we are choosing to withhold from others what God so freely gave to us.
Hurt runs deep, and there are people who speak evil about others and even mobilise others to hurt those whom they hurt. They hang on to the past and they built mountains out of molehills. Forgive and let go. This brings healing and sets us free more than it justifies the other person.
Jesus forgave while on the cross, when He was in the middle of pain. A lesson to take home from this is that: we don’t have to wait until it’s easy.
God bless us all
