If they don't see the problem, they won't see the solution.

One of the biggest mistakes in sales is presenting a solution before the customer understands the problem.

If they don't recognise the impact of their current situation, they'll have no reason to change it.
That's why the best salespeople don't start by pitching.

Price is only a problem when value is unclear.

When prospects say, "It's too expensive," the issue often isn't the price.
It's the value they perceive.

If they don't understand how your product solves their problem, saves them time, or improves their outcome, every price will feel too high.

As a salesperson, your job isn't to justify the price - it's to demonstrate the value.
You do that by:
• Understanding their problem before presenting your solution.
• Explaining the outcome, not just the features.
• Showing the return on investment, whether that's time, money, or peace of mind.
• Using real examples, case studies, or testimonials to build confidence.

People buy with emotion and justify with logic.

We like to think our decisions are based on facts.

But more often than not, emotion comes first.

People buy because they want to feel more confident, more secure, less stressed, or more successful.

Logic simply validates the decision afterwards.

That's why the best salespeople don't just explain features,
they understand the emotion behind the purchase, then support it with logic.
Emotion opens the door. Logic helps people walk through it.

An objection is simply a question that hasn't been answered yet.

"It's too expensive."
"I need to think about it."
"Now isn't the right time."

These aren't always rejections. More often, they're signals that your prospect still has an unanswered question. Maybe they're wondering...

Will this actually solve my problem?
Can I trust you?
Is this worth the investment?
Why should I act now?
What if this doesn't work?

Every objection is an opportunity to uncover what your prospect really needs to hear.

Join us on the 27th of August for our next event where we will discuss the basics of sales. Link in bio.

The best sales pitches aren't about talking more, they're about understanding more.
Before you explain what you do, understand what your customer needs.

The strongest pitches focus on solving a problem, creating an outcome, and showing the value behind your solution.

When you stop trying to sell and start trying to help, your conversations become more natural, your customers become more engaged, and your close rate improves.
Remember: people aren't buying your product or service—they're buying the solution it provides.
