Another retail signage project completed for Joules, this time at their Cardiff space within Next. The suspended yellow sign creates a clear branded focal point above the shop floor, with illuminated Joules lettering helping the concession stand out from different areas of the store. The simple form, strong colour contrast and overhead positioning give the brand plenty of presence while fitting naturally into the surrounding retail environment.

to this bespoke signage project we did for GB Kent Brushes at their Hemel Hempstead headquarters. The project brought together fabricated entrance cladding, illuminated fascia lettering and branded roundels, alongside a striking internal ceiling feature formed from fabricated aluminium with individually illuminated metal tubes. It is a great example of how signage metalwork can become part of the architecture itself, combining branding, fabrication and lighting to create a distinctive environment.

Northampton Signs recently completed a bespoke wall vinyl in London project at Olympia UK, working on a series of internal graphics designed to enhance the networking and circulation areas. The scheme combined large-scale geometric wall patterns with complementary window vinyl, creating a consistent visual treatment across the space while working around existing doors, sockets and architectural features. For this Primark entrance portico at White Rose, Leeds, Northampton Signs manufactured a large, bespoke metal cladding feature spanning approximately 10.6 metres wide, framed by rounded 600 mm corner sections. The system combined 3 mm aluminium cladding, 40 × 40 mm aluminium box-section flutes, and brushed stainless-steel skirting, with concealed joints and alignment sleeves that create a continuous ribbed finish across the façade. Finished in the distinctive aqua blue, the result transforms the entrance into a substantial architectural feature rather than simply conventional signage.

For the new OFFICE Shoes store on Brompton Road, Knightsbridge, Northampton Signs manufactured a complete external signage package designed to give the shopfront strong visibility from both the front and along the street. The main fascia features deep, polished stainless-steel OFFICE letters with blue acrylic faces and internal LED illumination, mounted on a fabricated white aluminium tray. We also produced the illuminated projecting sign using blue acrylic, white push-through lettering and a bespoke aluminium bracket, creating a consistent branded appearance across the storefront.

This project shows how our signage metalwork service combines metal fabrication, acrylic work, illumination, and bespoke fixing systems to deliver complete signage solutions for retail and commercial environments. From fabricated trays and built-up lettering to projecting signs, lightboxes, frames and support structures, we manufacture signage around the specific dimensions, finishes and installation requirements of each site, with design, production and installation coordinated through Northampton Signs.

to our project for Brewers Decorator Centre in Saffron Walden, where we manufactured and installed a refreshed signage package to bring the storefront in line with the brand’s look. The project included updated fascia graphics, a projecting sign, supplier brand window graphics and refreshed entrance visuals, helping the branch stand out clearly from the street while giving the shopfront a cleaner, brighter and more professional finish.

For the Joules concession within NEXT at The Westgate, Oxford, Northampton Signs manufactured a coordinated range of bespoke internal signage, including an illuminated suspended sign and a large racking sign. The suspended sign was built from folded aluminium trays powder-coated in yellow, with a bronze-finished internal frame and acrylic JOULES lettering containing internal LED illumination. The wider racking sign used fabricated aluminium face and back trays with built-up lettering, creating a consistent branded finish across the retail space.

This project is a strong example of our wider signage metalwork service, where we combine bespoke metal fabrication with branded finishes, acrylic lettering and illumination to create complete signage systems for retail, hospitality, offices and other commercial environments. With design, manufacture and installation managed in-house, we can produce custom sign trays, frames, suspended signs, lightboxes and built-up lettering in the sizes, shapes and finishes required for each location.
