The Book Fairies are getting ready for our third treasure hunt next weekend! Repost this pic if you're planning to get involved ☠

What is Book Fairy Treasure?

It's a worldwide attempt at a treasure hunt for book lovers. Have a look at all the activity from the last two years by using the hashtag ! 👑

How can you get involved?

Save up some books for book drops next weekend (24 - 25 August) and add a little extra magic. Maybe add a pirate symbol, or a gold nugget, or simply post clues online so that people can try to find your treasure! You can even arrange a fun treasure hunt for kids in your local neighbourhood 🗝

Don't hesitate to ask for help from your friends. The more the merrier!

We will also be running some fun online treasure hunts so that more people than ever can be involved! Watch this space!

Love is what the book fairies are all about. We love sharing stories and encouraging people to discover new genres and authors. We love that what we do is open to everyone, it’s an inclusive movement of readers, all around the world. We do our best to give voice to under represented authors and individuals through what we do, and we love supporting others.

So. This year. The book fairies are in full support of Pride 2019. We are celebrating by hiding books by LGBTQ+ authors and with LGBTQ+ storylines in order to spread the word of inclusivity. To make these book drops extra special, we’ve introduced a sticker, featuring the rainbow colours around the edge 🌈

We hope this will help the books to stand out - we also suggest using rainbow ribbon if you can get hold of some! Search for “Pride” on the book fairy website to find the BRAND NEW stickers 💚

Starting this month and through the whole summer we will be hiding these books and heading to Pride events. Some lucky fairies are excited to not only have titles donated to us from but to also discover new books by watching the activity happen around the world! Use to show us how you will celebrate 🎉

We encourage book fairies around the world to support this beautiful movement and show your pride by highlighting the books and authors you celebrate. We encourage you to go to a Pride event near you this summer and spread the joy of these books. We encourage you to show your pride in being a book fairy who supports inclusivity and love for all.

That’s right fairies, is back! Due to the amazing response last year, this time we want the celebration to continue for more than a weekend...so we’re dropping books near flowers throughout the months of May and June! 🌺

Book Fairies in Bloom encourages book fairies and book hunters around the world to head to their nearest park or green space… where books may be hidden! 🌳

Why not reach out to your local park groups to see if they’d like to join you as book fairies for the day? Or simply find a beautiful tree, bench or flowerbed to hide a special book! 🌻

Remember to use and when you are hiding your books, and maybe include a few sentences about the park - perhaps it has history!

Today we have launched the May/June edition of our BOOK FAIRY BOX! For our second birthday we launched a very green box. Not only does it have a brand new book inside, but also a secondhand one, some exclusive book fairy goodies and other literary treats. Our theme for May/June is two fold, it’s Book Fairies in Bloom and Pride!

What’s in the box?

Without giving too much away, our theme for this time is Book Fairies in Bloom and also PRIDE. The box includes: 💚 Book fairy exclusives (there are FOUR in this one) 💚A new book and a second-hand book, to encourage the idea of reusing 💚At least one item that supports a greener lifestyle 💚SO MANY OTHER GOODIES! 💚We promise no one-use plastic or any unnecessary plastic packaging
