Little off the cuff video of Newborough Hall scheduled moated site...btw I know that the moat is not triangular, as you can tell completely unedited and unscripted but nevertheless quite interesting if you like that sort of thing.

In honour of Bookshop Day I'm posting the most recent thing I bought from an independent (bricks and mortar) bookshop. And am disproportionately happy to learn that such things are on an upward trajectory with 1072 now open in the UK up from 1027 in 2021. I have always hated the digital book reading devices and obviously prefer real buildings to the sterile world of online shopping so happy Bookshop Day to one and all.

Absolutely stunning plasterwork and stained glass in the station cafe in Nottingham. Wonder how many railway stations are listed buildings? Looks in need of some tlc and the franchise holder staff say they are being taken over so redecoration could mean the original fabric is covered up!? A) what a rubbish plan B) who is making sure the fabric is protected? The rail company?
