A small ask, and a nice bit of news behind it.

Collective Security has been nominated for Cybersecurity Business of the Year (East Midlands), and the winner is decided by public vote. Voting closes on 18 August.

From our base at the University of Nottingham's Ingenuity Centre, we help businesses across the Midlands get certified, get tested, get their teams trained, and (when the worst happens) get back on their feet.

If you've worked with us, or you just like backing local specialists, we'd be really grateful for a vote. It takes about thirty seconds (it texts you a code to keep the bots out, and that's the lot) 👇

Thank you. It makes a real difference to a small team.

Some exciting news to share. We've moved! 🎉

Collective Security is now based at the Ingenuity Centre, Jubilee Campus, University of Nottingham. Beautiful spaces, a brilliant setting, and plenty of room for a team that's growing year on year.

More space means more capacity to do what we do best, making cyber security simple, stress-free and genuinely reassuring for the businesses we work with.

We love our new home, and we're only just getting started. Come and say hello.

We did it!

A few weeks ago we shared that Simon Plummer would be joining a panel at Infosecurity Europe2026 (Communities of Support: Scaling Practical Cyber Help for SMEs.)

Well, we showed up. And it was worth every minute.

The conversation on that panel was exactly the kind the industry needs more of, honest, practical, and focused on the businesses that need cyber help most but are hardest to reach. The room was engaged, the questions were sharp, and it felt like a genuinely important discussion to be part of. Great to share the stage with a great panel Steven Furnell, Richard Morrison-Butcher, Amanda Finch FCIIS and Helen Barge.

Kate Plummer has been busy behind the scenes pulling together a reel from the day with some panel moments, vendor conversations, and a few things we weren't expecting. Take a look and give us a follow.

Thank you to the Infosec Europe team for having us. We'll be back.
