Tomorrow before dawn, the Moon disappears into Earth's shadow.
This Friday's lunar eclipse is deep — over 90% of the Moon's diameter will sit inside the umbra at maximum, close enough to total that it will look coppery-red rather than simply dim. Fully visible from the UK and Ireland, low in the west-southwest sky, from 3:33am.
