For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.β β 1 Samuel 16:7
In a world that often measures worth by appearance, status, and achievements, God sees something far deeper the condition of our hearts. While people may judge based on what is visible, God looks beyond the surface into our motives, intentions, and sincerity.
This verse reminds us that we do not need to strive to impress others or meet worldly standards to be accepted by God. What matters most to Him is a humble, faithful, and surrendered heart. Even when we feel overlooked, unqualified, or insignificant in the eyes of others, God sees our true value.
Like David, who was chosen not because of his outward appearance but because of his heart, we are reminded that Godβs calling is not based on perfection but on willingness and faithfulness.
So today, let us focus not on how we appear to others, but on who we are before God. Let our hearts be pure, our intentions sincere, and our lives aligned with His will because that is what truly matters.
