For the LORD sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.” β€” 1 Samuel 16:7

In a world that often measures worth by appearance, status, and achievements, God sees something far deeper the condition of our hearts. While people may judge based on what is visible, God looks beyond the surface into our motives, intentions, and sincerity.

This verse reminds us that we do not need to strive to impress others or meet worldly standards to be accepted by God. What matters most to Him is a humble, faithful, and surrendered heart. Even when we feel overlooked, unqualified, or insignificant in the eyes of others, God sees our true value.

Like David, who was chosen not because of his outward appearance but because of his heart, we are reminded that God’s calling is not based on perfection but on willingness and faithfulness.

So today, let us focus not on how we appear to others, but on who we are before God. Let our hearts be pure, our intentions sincere, and our lives aligned with His will because that is what truly matters.

Raising Children in God’s Way

β€œTrain up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” β€” Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)

As parents and guardians, we are not just raising children we are shaping hearts to know God. When we plant His Word in their lives, teach them to pray, walk in love, and live in obedience, we are building a strong foundation that will guide them even when we are not around.

A child who grows in the ways of the Lord will carry His truth into every season of life. Even when they face trials, the seeds of faith will remain rooted in their hearts. God’s guidance becomes their compass, and His promises become their strength.

When children walk in God’s path, blessings follow not just in material things, but in peace, wisdom, protection, and purpose. Their lives become a testimony of God’s goodness, shining light to others.

Let us raise a generation that knows God, loves Him, and walks faithfully in His ways.

Forgiveness is not always easy but it is always powerful.

God has forgiven us in ways we could never earn. Through His grace, He wipes away our sins, restores our hearts, and gives us a new beginning. Yet sometimes, we hold on to hurt, replaying the pain and allowing pride to build walls around our hearts.

But how can we receive such deep mercy and refuse to give it?

Forgiveness requires us to lay down our pride and pick up humility. Pride says, β€œI have the right to stay hurt.” Humility says, β€œJust as God forgave me, I choose to forgive.” It doesn’t mean the pain didn’t matter it means we trust God enough to release it.

When we forgive, we are not just setting others freeβ€”we are freeing ourselves from bitterness, anger, and bo***ge. Forgiveness heals what pride keeps broken.

Let us remember: God’s mercy flows through humble hearts. As we receive His forgiveness daily, may we also extend that same grace to others.

β€œBe kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” – Ephesians 4:32

The Story of Hosea and Gomer

In the Bible, God called a prophet named Hosea to live out a powerful message not just through words, but through his own life.

God told Hosea to marry a woman named Gomer, even though she would be unfaithful. Hosea obeyed. He loved her, cared for her, and built a family with her.

But Gomer turned away. She left Hosea and chased after other lovers, seeking love and fulfillment in the wrong places. Eventually, her choices led her into brokenness she lost everything and even became a slave.

Yet the story does not end there.

God told Hosea to go and love her again.

Hosea went, found Gomer in her lowest place, and bought her back redeeming her and bringing her home. Not because she deserved it, but because he chose to love her.

This was more than a love story it was a picture of God’s love for His people.

Just like Gomer, people turn away from God. We chase things that cannot truly satisfy. But like Hosea, God continues to pursue us, to forgive us, and to restore us.

The story of Hosea and Gomer reflects our own spiritual journey.

There are times we are like Gomer:
β€’ We drift away from God
β€’ We seek fulfillment in the world
β€’ We forget the love that first saved us

Yet God’s love does not change.

God’s Love is Unconditional
Even when we fail, God does not stop loving us. His love is not based on our perfection, but on His character.

God Pursues Us
Just as Hosea went after Gomer, God comes after us even in our lowest moments.

Restoration is Always Possible
No matter how far we fall, God can restore, redeem, and renew our lives.

We Are Called to Love Like Hosea
We are also challenged to love others with grace, forgiveness, and patienceβ€”even when it is difficult.

Personal Application

Ask yourself:
β€’ Have I been running from God in any area of my life?
β€’ Am I accepting His love, or do I feel unworthy?
β€’ Can I forgive and love others the way God loves me?

Truth to hold on to:
You are never too far gone. God is always ready to bring you back home.
