Yesterday, a joint EMEC and Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust team attended the Final Year Showcase at’s Brackenhurst campus — an inspiring event celebrating the achievements, research and future aspirations of final year students. 👏

It was fantastic to speak with so many students about their projects, course highlights and career ambitions. We were particularly impressed by their enthusiasm to learn more about the ecology sector, the range of roles available, and the experience and qualifications employers look for when recruiting.

A special thank you to the Nottingham Trent University Employability Team for their continued support throughout our seasonal recruitment process this year, which has resulted in EMEC welcoming three NTU students to assist with our summer survey season. 👏

We’d also like to thank all the employers, alumni and partners who attended and contributed to such valuable conversations and connections throughout the day. Events like these play an important role in supporting the next generation of environmental professionals, and we’re proud to have been involved.
