We are leading experts in supplying glass products and glazing services for both domestic and commercial customers across the UK.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced UPVC Window Fitter to join our team, based in Bulwell.

About the role:
• Safely removing old windows & doors.
• Fitting new windows, doors & double-glazed units.
• Repairs and replacements of handles, hinges, locking mechanisms, gaskets, beads etc.
• Measuring for replacement UPVC windows & doors.
• Provide training and assistance to other team members when required.
• Assisting our other fitting teams with the installation of other products and services, including mirrors, splashbacks, shower screens and balustrades.

Person Specification:
• Applicants must take pride in their own work, be capable of working to deadlines, work under supervision and on their own initiative, have a flexible and pro-active approach to work and comply with Health & Safety procedures.
• The job involves working in clients’ houses, so good communication skills, and a friendly, polite, and positive manner are essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Previous experience is essential.

Working hours:
• 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.
• Some overtime may be available/required during the week and at weekends.

After almost 50 years on Marshall Street, Lee Glass Sherwood is moving, and joining forces with our head office in Bulwell.

Combining our Glazing teams from Sherwood, with the state-of-the-art production facility in Bulwell, will allow us to offer our valued customers an even greater service, all from under one roof.

We still offer all of the same services, with the same dedicated and skilled teams, and our fleet of vehicles will continue to be very busy covering the whole of Nottinghamshire, with several teams working daily in and around Sherwood, Arnold, Carlton and surrounding areas (including Bulwell, of course).

On Saturday this week Matt Halliwell, one of our Managers at Lee Glass, is heading down to London to take part in a race up the stairs of one of the UK's tallest buildings, the 225m tall "Cheesegrater".

Once at the top, he's going to jump off the roof and freefall abseil over 700 feet back down to the ground. Then, he's heading back to Nottingham ready to take part in the Robin Hood Half Marathon.

Has he lost his mind? Possibly!

About the role:
- Measuring for replacement single and double-glazed panes.
- Glazing into uPVC and wooden windows & doors.
- Repairs and replacements of handles, hinges, locking mechanisms, gaskets, beads etc.
- Installation of mirrors, splashbacks, shower screens and balustrades.

Person Specification:

Milanna, the baby daughter of a friend of 'Tee' at our Sherwood office, has recently been diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease, a regressive and life limiting condition.

Help is not currently available in the UK but a specialist children’s hospital in Boston, USA does provide treatment that can prolong and improve Milanna's life. However, her parents, Reanna & Malakys need to raise money to fund the treatment and the ongoing support that Milanna is going to need for the rest of her life.
