SCR clean time happy days

Mits canter DPF in for cleaning yesterday. Unit was blocked so ended up needing a longer wash. Once it flowing nice and clear and pressure was right for a unit this size. It was dried which took some long time due to the wash time. The customer then collected and re fitted it, then the vehicle faults were cleared down.

Another unit in for cleaning as you can see the orange sand like stuff in the picture is actually ash. This is what the soot turns too after a re Gen. If your vehicle machine lorry is needing a forced re Gen this means the ash content is high and should really be cleaned. We offer same day turn around on most units. Small unit today. But cleaned dried and back to customer in a few hours. We offer same day turn around on 90% of units (depending on time of day and what was the issue with the vehicle) You can send units directly to us or if local to us we can arrange collection and re delivery. Why is DPF (diesel particulate filter) cleaning important?

Re posted just to show how blocked they can get this one was around 50% blocked after it had been through the cleaner it was under 5% blocked.

Customer contacted us ref cleaning there DPF unit as machine was going in to a re Gen every 30min. We stripped the unit down to find that the DPF had been drilled out at some point. Which in turn was effecting the readings on the pressure and temp sensors. We advised the customer that unfortunately cleaning wouldn’t help. He decided to buy a new unit (supplied by us)which we fitted back to the rest of the exhaust and sent back to them to re fit to the machine. Turn around time was 3 days.
