A solid day in the canopy for our lead climber and main estimator, Josh! 🌲🪓💪

🔥 To say it was hot last week would be a massive understatement! ☀️🥵

🌳 Safety First at Oak Valley Tree Services! ⚠️

​Our climber Josh has been up in the canopy this week dealing with a potentially hazardous situation. As you can see from the structural split and decay at the main union, this beautiful tree needed some immediate attention to keep it stable and safe.

​Josh has successfully installed temporary structural straps to secure the limbs and mitigate the immediate risk to the surrounding area. 🛠️💪

​📝 The Legal Stuff
​Because this tree sits within a designated Conservation Area, we have to ensure everything is done strictly by the book. While the straps provide a safe, temporary solution, our team at Oak Valley Tree Consultancy is already hard at work pulling together the relevant paperwork.
They are currently submitting a 5-day notice to the local council so we can carry out the necessary permanent works as quickly and legally as possible.

🌳 Safety First in Barnstaple! 🌳

Our main climber, Josh, has been hard at work at a school in Barnstaple this week. Following a recent safety inspection, a previously pollarded willow tree was highlighted as requiring complete removal to ensure the grounds remain safe for everyone.

☀️ What a scorcher of a day for a massive dismantle!🌲🥵

We tackled a seriously big job getting this heavily ivy-clad tree safely down to ground level.

The weather was incredibly warm, but the team pushed through to get it sorted from the full canopy right down to a completely clear site!
A massive shoutout and thank you to Byron Preedy from Preedy Trees for subbing in and helping us out on this one. Byron absolutely smashed the climbing in that heat, keeping the momentum going and working safely at height to bring it all down piece by piece. True professionalism and an absolute lifesaver! 🙌🪓
