Let's talk about the common types of employment tribunal claims you need to be aware of:

1️⃣ Breach of contract: Employees may bring this claim if they believe terms of their contract have been broken. For instance, if they haven't received payment in lieu of notice as stated in their contract.

2️⃣ Unfair dismissal: Employees can file this claim if they believe they were dismissed without a fair reason. Usually, they need to have worked for you for at least two years to do so.

3️⃣ Wrongful dismissal: Unlike unfair dismissal, this claim doesn't require a set period of continuous employment. A common example is failure to provide the correct notice period.

4️⃣ Discrimination claims: These relate to protected characteristics such as disability, age, race, and more. Discrimination claims fall under discrimination laws and can have serious consequences for your business.
