Congratulations to Harjit Kaur, our new Finance Director! 👏

We’re delighted to announce Harjit’s promotion to Finance Director for the Fortoak Group.

Harjit has been with Fortoak from day one, making a significant contribution to our growth over the past three years and helping strengthen the systems that support both Fortoak and UK Labels.

Her achievements include moving Sage to the cloud, introducing BrightHR, identifying and deploying new AI reporting tools across both businesses to support sales, operations and finance, and implementing Sage Cloud for UK Labels. These improvements have helped us work more efficiently and manage a growing Group.

Alongside these achievements, Harjit’s calm, assured approach, strong analytical skills and commitment to supporting colleagues have made her a valued member of our leadership team.

Investing in a safer working environment.

At Fortoak and UK Labels, the health, safety and wellbeing of our people comes first.

That’s why we’ve recently completed a significant programme of site improvements across our facilities, including:

🔹 New fire exits and an emergency escape route
🔹 An upgraded C-TEC fire alarm system with central monitoring
🔹 A new Paxton access control system
🔹 New cantilever safety gates for pallet movement to & from mezzanine floors
🔹 Extended site access to improve HGV movements

But creating a safer workplace isn’t only about infrastructure.

Our cross-functional Health & Safety team meets every month to review risks, share ideas and identify opportunities to keep improving how we work.

And we’re not stopping here.

Further health and safety investments are already planned as we continue to improve our facilities, equipment and working practices.

As Simon McCouaig, Managing Director of Fortoak Group, says:
