LET’S TALK MICRONEEDLING
Microneedling is one of my favourite treatments for improving the overall quality and health of the skin — and it’s so much more than simply creating tiny holes in the skin.
Microneedling uses very fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro channels within the skin. This triggers the skin’s natural repair response and encourages the production of collagen and elastin , two important proteins responsible for skin strength, firmness and elasticity.
What can Microneedling help with?
With a course of treatments, microneedling can help improve the appearance of:
✨ Fine lines and wrinkles
✨ Uneven skin texture
✨ Enlarged looking pores
✨ Acne scarring
✨ Mild pigmentation concerns
✨ Loss of firmness and elasticity
✨ Dull, tired looking skin
✨ Overall skin smoothness and radiance
It can also help your skin feel firmer, smoother and more refined over time.
Why have a course?
One treatment can give the skin a lovely fresh glow, but collagen production is a gradual process.
A consistent treatment plan allows us to work with your skin over time rather than expecting an overnight transformation.
Some clients choose monthly microneedling as part of their regular skin maintenance routine, while others may need treatments spaced further apart depending on their skin, the treatment depth and their individual goals.
When will I see results?
Your skin begins its repair process following treatment, but the visible results develop gradually.
You may notice an initial glow and improvement in texture, while the longer term benefits of increased collagen production can continue to develop over the following weeks and months.
What happens after treatment?
It’s completely normal for the skin to look pink or flushed immediately afterwards. You may also experience some warmth, tightness, dryness or sensitivity.
This generally settles as the skin recovers.
Your aftercare is just as important as your treatment. I’ll advise you on what products to use, what to avoid and how to protect your skin while it’s healing.
☀️ SPF is essential
If you’re investing in your skin, daily SPF should be part of your routine.
Protecting your skin from UV exposure helps support your results and is an important part of maintaining healthy looking skin.
Is Microneedling right for you?
Every skin is different. During your consultation, I’ll assess your skin, discuss your concerns and goals, and make sure microneedling is suitable for you.
I may also recommend combining microneedling with the right professional treatments and home skincare to create a more complete skin health plan.
Great skin isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about supporting your skin consistently and giving it what it needs.
