A new chapter for BNI Renaissance 👌

Today we welcomed our new Leadership Team, who will be taking the chapter forward over the next 12 months with some fantastic ideas, fresh energy and a real focus on increasing the amount of business generated within the room.

BNI Renaissance is one of the longest-established chapters in the Greater Manchester East region and has previously been recognised as the number one chapter in the region. There is a lot of history behind this group, and now a real opportunity to bring that momentum back to life. 🤝

Huge congratulations to our new Leadership Team:

👏 Brian McManus of Evo Smart Ltd – President
👏 Claire Duggan of Madeleine Mortgages – Vice President
👏 Scott Jordan of &J exterior Cleaning – Secretary Treasurer

They have some ambitious plans for the chapter, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the group develops over the next 12 months.

Wishing Brian, Claire and Scott every success in their new roles.

Here’s to more visitors, more referrals, stronger relationships and, most importantly, more business being generated for everyone in the room. 🚀

A great presentation last week from Matt Hurst of High Peak Architecture.

Matt showcased some excellent projects, including examples where he has helped clients save money, helped developers maximise the value of land, and supported people in gaining planning permission when they thought it may not be possible.

This Wednesday we are holding our big visitor event, and Matt is looking to build relationships with local property surveyors and estate agents who may be able to refer suitable opportunities his way.

If you know a surveyor, estate agent, developer, or property professional who would benefit from connecting with a reliable local architect, please drop me a message and I’ll make the introduction.

A fantastic presentation last week from our long-serving BNI Renaissance member, David from Bee Creative Print Ltd. 👏🐝

David explained the wide range of print services his company offers, from regular business documents and paperwork through to business cards, brochures, marketing materials and much more.

One of the really interesting points was that Bee Creative Print also supports other print companies when they need extra capacity. With the machinery and capability David has in place, they can handle larger workloads while still delivering great quality and fast turnaround times.

If you are looking for reliable print support, whether it is a one-off job or regular business printing, give David and the team at Bee Creative Print Ltd a try.

✅ Quality service
✅ Quality turnaround
✅ Competitive pricing
✅ Experienced local print company

BNI Renaissance are proud to have David as a valued and long-serving member of our team.

And if you are looking to grow your own business and would like to know more about BNI Renaissance, drop me a message or give me a call on

What a fantastic achievement following the charity football match between BNI Masters Stalybridge and BNI Oldham Renaissance.

Sadly, Renaissance didn’t take the win this time — credit where it’s due, BNI Masters were the better team on the day. But the real result was much bigger than the scoreline.

BNI Renaissance managed to raise over £8,000 for Purple Heart Wishes, an incredible charity that grants end-of-life wishes to terminally ill adults.

A bit of fun, a bit of friendly competition, and a lot of fundraising to help people who truly need it — that is exactly what BNI is all about.

With a philosophy of Givers Gain, you wouldn’t expect anything less.

A huge thank you to everyone who played, donated, supported, organised, and helped make the day such a success.

What a cracking meeting this week at BNI Renaissance 👏

A couple of real standout moments worth sharing:

🔹 Scott from S&J Exterior Cleaning delivered a brilliant presentation on the importance of regular gutter maintenance. A simple bit of preventative care that can genuinely save building owners thousands of pounds in avoidable construction and repair costs down the line. One of those talks that really hits home.

🔹 And then Sharon from Admiral Travel had us all dreaming of holidays, sharing her incredible adventure to Iceland — chasing the Northern Lights and snowmobiling through the mountains 🌌❄️
Safe to say, I’ll definitely be booking my next holiday with her!

This is exactly why BNI works so well — quality people, real expertise, and genuine value shared every single week. 💼🤝

If you’re curious about what goes on in the room, Renaissance is well worth a visit.

🔥 Fantastic Meeting at BNI Renaissance This Morning! 🔥

Another brilliant session at BNI Renaissance with some great visiting businesses in the room – always good to see new faces and fresh opportunities being created 🤝

A special mention to Matt Hurst from HPA Architecture, who delivered a superb presentation breaking down the complications around Permitted Development Rights when extending your home.

It’s an area that catches so many homeowners out — just because you think something falls under permitted development, doesn’t always mean it does.

If you’ve got an upcoming extension, loft conversion, or remodel project and you’re unsure whether planning permission is required, Matt is definitely the man to speak to. There’s genuinely not much he doesn’t know when it comes to planning and development.

📩 Drop him a message if you need clarity before you start your project. It could save you time, money, and stress.
