Summer holidays 2026 over & out… 🥹☀️🥰
We have had an amazing summer holidays, so much fun and happy memories made at Dels house 🏡☀️🥰

Today we celebrated our last day before closing for summer and a very special, little ladies last day at Dels House 🥹🏡

Wow, the 3 years has flown by 🥹 in fact the last 6 years, as little ladies big brother also came to Del’s house before she was born. Working with this family has been an absolute pleasure and I’m so thankful that they chose me to care for both their babies, but little lady is well and truly ready for big school and she is going to absolutely thrive (I want first day uniform pics guys 🥹). A super emotional day and week doing all the ‘lasts’… 🥹❤️

Today little ones had so much fun celebrating in the garden with balloons, we had a lovely little picnic and a party with music lots of dancing, cakes, ice creams and ice pops. 🥰☀️🩷🏡🧺🎈🍦

Thankyou to my lovely families for spoiling me and Evie with birthday and end of summer holidays gifts, lucky to work along side the most wonderful families.

Time for some family time now though and a little rest 🤣😴.
I hope everyone has a wonderful last couple of weeks of the summer holidays, and I’ll see everyone back on Tuesday 1st September.

Our playroom can turn into a little sauna during a heatwave so when it goes about 24/25 degrees we make a few changes and little ones always love it…🥰

Our home from home in a heatwave… plenty of resources brought down from the playroom, calming music in the background, shaded area and fans in the living room, fresh water, mark making set up in the kitchen at the table, and free flow for the little ones throughout the day into the garden ☀️🥰☀️ plus plenty of space to rest when needed 🥵
We have book club planned and rhyme time for
later on this morning too 📚🎶

The summer holidays so far… 🥰☀️🛝🍦🍃🍪🧺🐦🌳🫧

We have been having such a lovely summer holidays… & been super busy hence me not keeping up with the posts on here 🙈🥰

There’s been plenty of park trips with bubbles 🥰🫧, our usual library trips 📚, we’ve had lunches at the cafe 🍴, picnics 🧺, we’ve had a trip to soft play 🛝, biscuit decorating 🍪, lots of ice creams and ice pops 🍦, so much fun and time spent in our happy places… our little garden 🌳🍃 and playroom 🎨 🥰☀️

We are always out and about and one of the things I hear the most apart from ‘oh you’ve got your hands full, are they all yours?’ 😂 is how well behaved our little ones are and how much fun they can see we have.
Of course they have their moments as they all do, but these 5 are growing into lovely little humans.
They listen, they care for each other, they share (most of the time 😂🙊), their funny & cheeky, and love to talk (over one another again most of the time 😂) they all love a cuddle, and we have some of the best days together. 🥰
I’m incredibly proud of them all.

We have 2 days left before we close for summer break and we plan on having more fun and plenty of ice creams in the heatwave that’s on the way 🥵☀️

Summer holidays filled with treats, and fun! We’ve been none stop today and this was a lovely afternoon treat for little ones to enjoy alongside their friends 🥰

☀️ Summer Holidays Only a weekend away! ☀️

Parents I’ve sent out summer holidays reminders. Summer holidays are a busy time but I want to ensure the setting still runs smoothly and children are happy and routine is in place. ☀️

☀️ Welcome to Our Summer Holidays! ☀️

A few helpful reminders to help our summer days run smoothly and ensure all children have a fun, safe and adventure-filled holiday.

🕒 Opening Hours

Monday – Wednesday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Thursday: 7:30am – 5:15pm

🥣 Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 7:30am and 8:15am.

Children arriving after 8:15am will need to have breakfast at home before arriving.

⏰ Morning Arrivals

Please ensure children arrive by 9:15am unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed in advance.

🚗 Drop-Offs During Outings

This summer I will no longer be offering drop-offs while we are out and about.

This helps me focus on supervising the children, keeps everyone safe and allows us to make the most of our outings.

😴 Nap Time

To protect the children’s rest routine, there will be no collections between 12:30pm and 2:30pm, unless previously agreed.

📱 Changes to Times

If your child’s drop-off time will be different from usual, please let me know the evening before.

If your child’s collection time will be different, please let me know at morning drop-off.

This helps me plan our day, prepare children for collection and ensure smooth transitions within the setting.

☀️ Sun Safety

* Please provide a sun hat every day.
* I provide sunscreen unless your child requires a specific brand due to sensitive skin or allergies. If so, please provide this in their bag and let me know.

☀️✈️ My summer Holidays.
* I close Monday 17th August. Reopening Tuesday 1st September.

🔔 Reminder.
Thursday 3rd September. I will be opening at 9am. All children will need to have had breakfast at home that day.

Wow 🤩 Another week has flown by!!

This week has been spent writing up little ones progress reports. A 2 year progress report, a transition to pre school report and 3 spring reports for parents.
I try to minimise paperwork as much as possible, prioritising my time spent with little ones instead of constantly on the laptop, especially working alone 🙋🏻‍♀️

Observations are made every day and I’d say I know each & everyone of my little ones and what they can do inside out and with my eyes closed 😂
I love to discuss their milestones, achievements and day to day routines with my parents daily, sometimes keeping them at the door at the end of a day a little longer than they would probably like 🤣

However sometimes paperwork is necessary and it is nice to have it written down for parents to read what little ones have achieved within the setting, know their next steps, an opportunity to discuss any concerns, and celebrate achievements. 🌟🌟
Transition documents are a nice way to introduce little ones to their new setting and to hopefully make the transition as smooth as possible, also a chance for me to show off my little one and tell their new school just how amazing they are! And that they better look after them 🤣🤣🥰

So that was on my to do list this week, and all reports have been uploaded and sent to tapestry, schools & parents. I Hope all my parents have enjoyed reading them and celebrated how amazing your little ones are 🌟

I survived (just) 🥵🥵🥵🥵🤣🤣🤣

I think it’s safe to say this week has been a tough one for everyone 🥰☀️ but childminders, especially those working alone we’ve done it 🥳💪🏼👏🏼🥵

As much as we love the sunshine this heat can be trickier to navigate with our little ones. Trying to keep them safe in the sun and helping them to cope with this heat, making sure they stay hydrated and feel well is always the priority and we’ve managed to do that this week, all whilst still enjoying the sunshine, whether that be in the garden, in shaded areas or inside. ☀️🏡

Lots of water play, bubbles, book club & rhyme time in front of the fans, time spent at the park, more so at the beginning of the week and in the shaded areas. We’ve drank lots and lots of water, nap times in nappies, cool flannel wipe downs throughout the day, delish lunches, snacks and plenty of ice pops!

I’m off to restock the freezer with ice pops! And to sit in an ice cold bath 😂

🔔 Parents we will not be attending the library tomorrow. 🔔

Due to the heat at our usual setting off time,
expected to be roughly 22 degrees and coming home time expected 25/26 degrees. 🥵

I do not want our 2 tiny ones sat in the pram in the heat for the journeys there and back, and also need to consider our other 2 little ones who both walk to and from library.

Instead we will do book club within the setting, beside our fans, keeping cool with plenty of shade and liquids.
