We were delighted to bring together some of our valued sponsors at the beautiful Culloden Estate & Spa ahead of this year’s awards celebration.

As Farming Life and Farm Week once again join forces to recognise the very best of Northern Ireland’s agriculture industry, it was fantastic to gather with the businesses and organisations helping make the awards possible.

As you know we had a Guess The Weight competition on our stand at Balmoral Show to raise some funds for the Friends Of The Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital.

The closest guess wins a £200 Auld Forge voucher!

In total we raised £355 which RJ Woodland Services will match giving a total donation of £710!!

The weight of the logs and trailer combined was 884kg with the closest guess at 885kg from Lesley Liggett!! Congratulations!

‼️ FUEL PROTESTS‼️

This week has seen us taking part in road blockages and protests.

As a small business we have seen massive increases in our fuel bills. Costs that we just cannot sustain.

From the beginning of the war which started rising oil prices we are averaging £3884 extra per week on fuel! Nearly £4000 a week which we were not budgeting for and are unlikely to recoup from work which was priced months beforehand.

The current government is destroying businesses, large and small. Taxing at every chance they can and with fuel, taxes on top of taxes!!

I’m well aware that what we do here in Northern Ireland has very little impact on the government at Westminster however I strongly believe

DOING SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN DOING NOTHING!
