🏆 FACT YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT ME

My first award wasn't for admin.

It was Cross Stitcher of the Year 2005.

This photo was taken when I received the award, and looking back now, it feels like a lifetime ago.

What started as a hobby turned into something much bigger. After winning, I went on to become a model stitcher for projects featured in Cross Stitcher and Cross Stitch Quick & Easy magazines.

People often ask where my attention to detail comes from. The truth is, I've always enjoyed things that require patience, organisation and precision.

Whether it was following a cross stitch pattern back then or helping clients stay organised today, those skills have never really left me.

It's funny how the things we enjoy can shape our future in ways we never expect.

This week I did something I've never done before.

I exhibited at the Midlands VA Conference.

What started with one client and a laptop has grown into books, products, speaking opportunities, amazing clients and now my first exhibition stand.

The day was full of conversations, laughter, familiar faces, new connections and a few moments that genuinely made me stop and think, "Wow, this is actually happening."

I've shared the full story in my latest blog, including why this felt like such an important milestone and why I'm now excited about what comes next.

✨ What a fantastic day exhibiting at the Midlands VA Conference!

Today was a first for me. My very first time exhibiting, and what a day it has been.

I've had some brilliant conversations with fellow VAs, met so many lovely people, shared my VA Confidence & Clarity Pack, and introduced people to my books.

One of the things I love most about events like this is the opportunity to connect with people who truly understand the highs, lows, challenges and successes of running a VA business.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by my stand, bought a book, asked questions, shared their own journey, or simply came over to say hello. It genuinely meant a lot.

Now it's time for a 2hr drive back to Oswestry.

Today is a very proud moment. ❤️

I can finally share that I have been announced as an Ambassador for the Wrecsam2029 UK City of Culture Bid. ✨

As someone who has lived in Wrexham all my life, with family, friends and roots here, this honestly means the world.

I have seen Wrexham through the good times, the not so good times, and those “here we go again” moments.

But right now, Wrexham is shining, and I really do believe it is only just getting started. 🌟

As Volunteer Accessibility Coordinator at Stori Brymbo, I am passionate about making sure culture, heritage and opportunity are for everyone.

Because this bid is not just about buildings, events or headlines. It is about people. All people. ♿

I am so proud that Vicki Wilson and Vicki Admin Fairy® can support this bid and help champion Wrexham’s story.
