Does your beloved pet pooch smell less than sweet after his walks in this damp weather? Easy enough to bath the dog, but you don’t want his bed in the washer every day.

If your pet’s bed is a bit on the smelly side, sprinkle it with baking soda, leave it on for fifteen minutes, then vacuum up the residue and it’ll be smelling sweet again.

Did you know that the de-scaler you buy for your kettle is just Citric acid?

To de-scale, half fill the kettle and boil, pop it into the sink and add a heaped tablespoon of citric acid. Let it fizz away for 10 minutes, then pour it away. Rinse the kettle, refil, boil and pour away, and you're done.
