Removing roadside trees with ash die-back today. Tractor assisted felling with traffic management in place to stop traffic during felling. Any stray debris was quickly cleaned off the road to allow the traffic to flow safely again. Smooth operation

This week we had the privilege to play a part in the works to help save the Capon Tree. In 2021 some of the old supporting props failed, causing a partial collapsed one of the stems. Some inspired locals put a plan into action, enlisting Hugo of Heritage Tree Services who designed a new propping and bracing system to help support the remaining structure. We assisted in the installation of the props and pruning of the adjacent trees to allow more light to reach the Capon Tree. It was a real pleasure to be able to ply a part in this project!

We’ve managed to sneak into some local and national papers this week! We spent a couple of days out near Jedburgh assisting with efforts to help save the Capon Tree, one of the last survivors of the ancient Jed Forest. You can check out one of the articles below from the Herald

🎥 !!Great news!!! 🎥 It’s with much excitement that we can finally let you all in on a brand new TV show, to be aired on BBC Scotland on 17th Feb at 8:30pm called Loggerheads.
Last September Kirsty was kept busy in various magnificent locations around Scotland working as one of two tree surgeons (alongside the very talented and cool as a cucumber Sam Young of Darwood Young Forestry), to fell and process trees for two teams to create wooden masterpieces in a 24hr competition. With comedian farmer Jim Smith presenting, we are sure you will enjoy watching some super talented woodworkers do their thing!
The first episode will take place in the Scottish Borders, so be sure to get it on your telly box, or catch up on iPlayer afterwards!
