๐ Another one over the line.
We're pleased to announce the successful sale of Bargain Booze, Abbey Hulton.
This was a leasehold acquisition with an option for the purchaser to acquire the freehold property in the future. The transaction wasn't without its challenges, particularly around the first-floor accommodation, which could not currently be used as a residential flat due to building regulation requirements.
The good news is that the purchaser, Mr Khistriya, has ambitious plans for the business and the premises. As part of a wider refurbishment programme, he intends to carry out the necessary works, including fire protection improvements, which should allow the first floor to be converted into a fully compliant flat in the future. This will place him in a strong position should he decide to purchase the property further down the line.
This marks Mr Khistriya's first business acquisition, and it's fair to say he's excited to get stuck in. From our dealings with him throughout the process, we have no doubt he'll throw himself into the opportunity and continue building on the foundations already in place.
