Same surname. Same trade. New chapter.

We recently completed the sale of Queen's Fish Bar on Queens Road, Walsall.

In a fitting twist, the business was sold by Mr Singh to another Mr Singh - proving that good businesses always attract serious buyers.

Fish and chip shops remain one of the strong sectors we deal with. Demand is there, but finding the right buyer takes more than just putting an advert online. It takes experience, qualified buyers and knowing the market.

🎉 Another one over the line.

We're delighted to have completed the sale of Rise & Grind in Altrincham, with the business now passing to a first-time buyer who we're sure will take the brand forward. The café has built a strong reputation for speciality coffee, brunch and community-focused wellness events, and we wish everyone involved every success for the future.

This wasn't the easiest transaction we've handled. Not because of the business itself, but because every buyer sees risk differently. What seems like a minor point to one person can become a major sticking point for another. That's why it's so important to look beyond the headline offer and properly understand the buyer, their objectives and where their concerns lie. A business sale isn't just about agreeing a price. It's about keeping both sides moving in the same direction when the solicitors get involved and the inevitable hurdles appear.

EMF Group were pleased to attend the Royal Norfolk Show in Norwich this June. Considered the biggest annual event in Norfolk, the show attracts some 80,000 visitors.

Regional director Chris Ruggles and office manager, Sonny Beglarian attended the show which took place on 24th & 25th June amidst soaring temperatures.

Sonny noted that “the Norfolk Show was very good this year, however it was also very hot!” Chris and Sonny met lots of interesting people and had some very positive conversations regarding our services.

There was plenty to see at the show and it was considered to be a very worthwhile experience.

🎉 Another one over the line.

We're pleased to announce the successful sale of Bargain Booze, Abbey Hulton.

This was a leasehold acquisition with an option for the purchaser to acquire the freehold property in the future. The transaction wasn't without its challenges, particularly around the first-floor accommodation, which could not currently be used as a residential flat due to building regulation requirements.

The good news is that the purchaser, Mr Khistriya, has ambitious plans for the business and the premises. As part of a wider refurbishment programme, he intends to carry out the necessary works, including fire protection improvements, which should allow the first floor to be converted into a fully compliant flat in the future. This will place him in a strong position should he decide to purchase the property further down the line.

This marks Mr Khistriya's first business acquisition, and it's fair to say he's excited to get stuck in. From our dealings with him throughout the process, we have no doubt he'll throw himself into the opportunity and continue building on the foundations already in place.

We'd like to thank both buyer and seller for their patience and cooperation throughout the transaction and wish them every success in the future.
