Oxford BioDynamics (OBD) is a global biotech company advancing personalized healthcare by developing and commercializing precision medicine tests for life-changing diseases. OBD aims to help people face the most challenging health decisions with confidence and tackle the rising costs of healthcare with a portfolio of clinical tests and research tools based on its proprietary EpiSwitch® technology, uniquely capable of reproducibly translating 3D genome regulation for clinical application. The company’s flagship product, EpiSwitch CiRT (Checkpoint inhibitor Response Test), is a first-of-its-kind smart blood test for cancer patients that provides guidance on navigating the toughest challenges of immunotherapy like treatment planning, pseudo-progression, and adverse events. The company is partnering with CLIA-certified commercial labs to deliver these important tests into the hands of physicians to meet demand and help patients as quickly as possible. OBD’s commercial team has an office in Gaithersburg, MD, USA, and the company has an ISO-certified laboratory in Penang, Malaysia. OBD has participated in 40+ partnerships with pharma and leading institutions, including Pfizer, EMD Serono, Genentech, Roche, Biogen, Mayo Clinic, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma. The Company has created a valuable technology portfolio, including biomarker arrays, molecular diagnostics, bioinformatic tools for 3D genomics, and an expertly curated 3D genome knowledgebase comprising hundreds of millions of data points from 10,000+ samples in 30+ human diseases. OBD’s proprietary EpiSwitch technology maps this 3D architecture at scale, identifying abnormal configurations that can be used to diagnose patients or predict how someone may respond to a disease or treatment. Heading to in Montréal (20–24 October)?

Genomics has become extraordinarily good at generating genome sequences, and less so at explaining them. Most disease-associated variation sits outside genes, and what those variants actually do is often an open question.

EpiSwitch® Orion predicts 3D regulatory genome architecture from whole-genome sequence, so you can ask new questions of your sequencing data.

CEO Rich Compton and CTO Dan Turner will be there to talk about Orion and the wider platform. To set up a meeting, message us through the 2026 Mobile App.

100 days in as CEO of Oxford BioDynamics ( ), Rich Compton sat down with us to share what’s surprised him and where he sees headed.

His take: Genomics has become very good at reading genomes, but much less good at explaining them. After nearly 20 years of measuring how the genome folds, OBD is well placed to help close that gap, from Explorer in the lab to Orion, our computational platform, on existing genomic data.

Oxford BioDynamics has signed the first commercial agreement for EpiSwitch® Orion, its cloud-based discovery platform. transforms standard genome sequencing data, including legacy whole-genome datasets, into 3D regulatory intelligence, helping and partners move from statistical association to actionable target and biomarker discovery.

The agreement forms part of OPTIMISE, a research programme in funded by the UK Department of Health and Social Care - DHSC via the NIHR, and delivered in collaboration between the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences of the University of Oxford, the University of Glasgow, King's College London and Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
