Visit https://hendredvineyard Set in the characterful Oxfordshire village of East Hendred, this is one of the oldest English vineyards and produces fine wines for the local community to enjoy. The wines are a reflection of the excellent ‘terrior’ driven by the nutrient rich soil, sunny and breezy aspect provided by the Oxfordshire countryside. Add the boutique vineyard philosophy of hands on, attentive farming and the product is superbly clean and succulent grapes, resulting in wines that consistently win awards.

Seven years ago during a trip to learn about red w**es in California a seed was sown. The dream to produce our own came true this year creating the first Hendred red w**e in its 54 year history and it was definitely worth the wait! (A very badly behaved group). 👩‍🎓🌱🍷

Beneath the warm summer sun of 2025, the glorious Pinot Noir grapes harvested have been transformed into a silky red w**e full of black cherry, raspberry and forest fruit flavours with undertones of dark chocolate and spice. 🍇🍒🫐🍓 🍫🍷

In our merriment of this new arrival we are giving away a bottle to someone who:

This was harvest 10 years ago in mid October and the two little harvest helpers flown away now.

Harvest in 2016 was exactly a month earlier than this year, I wonder if in 2036 we’ll be harvesting mid August ☀️🌎🔥

The colours of the vine leaves after harvest inspired our logo which features a golden leaf 🍃🍂🍁

Snippety snip snip and all in the basket for this year. 🍇✂️Smaller berries than last year but the grapes are clean and luscious. Thank you for all the offers to help harvest - we really appreciate it and hope to see you next year.

Luscious grapes dangling provocatively amid the deer - how the deer prefer to munch on fallen apples at the edge of the vineyard is astonishing. Some very clever planting ideas by those who started the vineyard 54 years ago if this was an intentional distraction tactic! 🍏🦌🍎 The number of deer has increased over the years so hoping they don't have a nibble and change their appetite to juicy sweet grapes 🍬🍇
