I’ve been hosting and attending networking groups for over 8 years in and around Oxfordshire and I am extremely excited to announce the soft launch the next stage of our networking journey.

After recent events, I have stepped away from all other networking ventures and will be focusing my attention on the newly launched “PicklePoint…Networking”

A local Oxfordshire based power team built to connect, teach and grow your local business.
Specialising in the construction and facilities management sectors PicklePoint... will become the “Go To” Local directory of trades people and local businesses.

Our aim is going to be very simple - Networking without the corporate jargon.
Local People.
Giving Local Referrals.
Building Genuine Relationships.

This isn’t going to be just your average networking group.
Its focused on becoming a support network for local businesses, giving guidance on business operations, helping with marketing tips and working together to grow and develop.

Between now and Christmas myself and the team will be hosing regular events with the aim to set a more formalised routine at a new venue in the new year.

On the day of launch we have already had interest from a number of my local connections and I have a very quick feeling the the group will flourish within a matter of months.

This is a huge opportunity for both myself and our business Total Electrical Contractors Ltd and I am extremely excited and grateful to be in this position!

Our initial soft launch is tomorrow morning via an invite only basis to discuss the plans with our existing partners but WATCH THIS SPACE!

When we launched PicklePoint...
We had 1 goal.

"Help small business owners gain back their own time, Making their business work for them, Not the other way round"

We never wanted to work for big corporates, small "one man band" style businesses was our focus, making a big impact for the people who's business matters to them.

Growth can be a scary place at times, and naturally as you grow you have to employ people to work alongside you.

Employing an "Operations Manager" is a big expense for a SME, and its not a decision that's always the right choice without putting in a clear action plan before hand.
Eventually as you scale having another pair of hands and access to support and advice is always going to be needed.
If your business is just you at the top, is it really a stable business?

By employing someone directly, You (The Business Owner) have to be prepared for the fact that you are no longer the only person making decisions, You also have to have a clear mindset on vision for your business to teach them what it is you are trying to achieve.

It works if you make it work!

Like any marketing strategy its trial and error, Not every group is right for you and not every meet will lead to work straight away.

Like anything in life you get out what you put in, I spent around 2 years attending different networking groups, coming out after a 60 second pitch thinking great! Cant wait for all of that work to flood through the doors.
Day's passed and I hadn’t heard anything...

Then I realised its more than just a 60 second pitch, Its up to me to build relationships week after week, Chase the sales leads, Follow up on conversations.

Fast forward to now, I am 8 years into my "Networking Journey" and guess what? IT WORKS!!

In 8 years I have built a large supplier network, had hundreds of referrals and gained a huge ROI for our small investment.

When was the last time you did some “life admin” and why wasn’t we taught about it at school?

Ive faced the challenges of being a young person who’s financed a car, purchased a house, setup a business and filed a tax return but it’s all been a self learning process and it’s not been an easy one‼️

It’s really not hard to understand why the younger generations are struggling to succeed when the road to success is such a mess, everything needs a form filling in or there’s no clear understanding on what is required from you. (Anyone who has ever navigated the gov website will know what I mean)

After reaching that boring age where watching hashtag on TikTok has become the new norm for me I’ve realised that I’ve never actually done any real “life admin” in the last few years.

It turns out I’ve fallen victim to auto renewals, over priced bills and un needed subscriptions!

Well after just under an hour of work I’ve;
Saved £487 per year in bills ✅
