Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Evan back to Fortitude for a full week of work experience.

Evan, a Year 12 student at Reading School studying Maths, English Literature, Spanish and Photography, first joined us in Year 11 for a shoot day so it was brilliant to have him back for a longer stint and give him a proper look at what agency life involves.

Over the course of the week, Evan got stuck into a real mix of work. He joined us on a shoot at Oxford Bus Company for our work with Electrify Britain, carried out a social media audit for one of our events clients, sat in on a team strategy meeting, learned how a press release comes together from start to finish, and helped with press coverage research ahead of The Crazy Bear Group relaunch event on Thursday evening.

🗣️ Evan said: "I really enjoyed my week with Fortitude and gaining my first taster of office life — above all the heavy tea and biscuit culture — and although I am not certain on what sort of career I wish to pursue, I feel that the experience this week has provided me with will serve me well for the future and prove invaluable."

Giving students a real, hands-on experience of the industry is something we care deeply about at Fortitude 👏

Last night, we helped bring Crazy Bear Stadhampton back...

And what a night it was! 🥂

Fortitude Communications was proud to support the relaunch of The Crazy Bear Stadhampton, helping to shape the guest list, drive attendance and build anticipation for the event. To see the venue packed out and buzzing was something else entirely.

The entertainment more than delivered with incredible food and drink including a BBQ and afternoon tea selection.

Crazy Bear has always had a reputation for doing things properly, and this set the tone perfectly for what's coming next.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the atmosphere what it was.

And to our client — thank you for the vision and for trusting us to help bring it to life.

Ox Tech Week - the inaugural, flagship technology and innovation festival, took place last week.

Tech Week brought together leading researchers, founders and investors across Oxford and beyond for four days of workshops, talks and networking.

Our client, Oxford North played an important role as premier sponsors and our Account Executive Lola Holland helped to represent on their behalf. The Core Programme took place at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford, the central hub of Tech Week.

The Core Programme saw keynotes from leading scientists, founders, and investors. Panel discussions on AI, biotech, and deeptech, with curated sessions to foster connections between academia and industry.

Our client Impact IP also hosted Tour de Tech at Oxford North in collaboration with Oxford Capital. Tour de Tech is a monthly cycling networking group for tech investors, entrepreneurs and professionals cycling around the Oxford cluster.

The whole week shone a light on the thriving innovation ecosystem here in Oxfordshire, but also strengthening opportunities to come, and it was great for Team Fortitude to be involved in the week.

We're proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week! 👏

Life and work can get busy, but it is always important to take a moment for yourself, for others and to prioritise mental health. This year's Mental Health Foundation campaign is focused on exactly that - taking action, for yourself, for someone else and for all of us.

We marked this week by taking a break from our desks for a team lunch at The Oxford Factory and went on a short walk to give ourselves a quick mental boost.

We also wore something green to the office for Wear it Green Day! 💚
